I must with great bias recommend this game, I think it's a great way to get into the proper souls series. As is the case with what is now called the genre of Souls-like the learning curve is pretty steep and jumping in without really knowing how things work and where things are can be a bit much, however I am of whole belief that once you begin to understand things just get easier somewhat rapidly. The series as a whole is amazing with a lot of depth to the world that isn't outright said straight up and placed in front of you, you have to look for it. The story can be as strong and tied in with your actions as you want it to be. Now as more formal viewing on the game, I do say it's a worthy buy, just be warned that it will test your patience with how it can be at times. Lastly, have a controller on hand, keyboard and mouse works fine but as anyone could really tell you, usually the game made for console is going to feel more natural on a controller.
