The only thing this game lacks is providing me with an artistic talent. If I could sum up everything to say about this game it's that "I wish I had the artistic capabilities to fully appreciate everything this game has to offer".

It's such a great time if you just want to make some art. The game provides you with such an insane amount of art tools. Paints, paint buckets, spray paints, tape, blow torches, you name it.

Every surface in the game can be painted on, whether intentionally or not. Want to spray paint on the canvas? You can. Spray paint on the walls? You can. Use a blow torch on the canvas to get a nice burn on it? You can. Use the blow torch on the spray can so that it explodes and gets paint EVERYWHERE? You can. Need to mop up your mess with a mop and a water bucket? You can. Want to fill up the bucket with paint, and then mop paint all over the place? You guessed it; you can!

Can do nothing except highly recommend this game.

The Steam store page really doesn't do the game justice. Images of a few bosses and towns, this game was originally a pass for me.

But I watched some gameplay videos, and the game is free so with nothing to lose I gave it a try.

Yeah it's got a lot of typical MMO elements that make it an MMO, daily or weekly limits so you can't just grind the game straight through. Earning things takes time and can be a slow burn, but combat is great and a lot of fun. I really enjoy the weapons and weapon skills, leveling gear is fun.

On occasion the game does heavily fall into the PvP side. A lot of the zones where you can get good loot for leveling up gear turn into War Zones during the in-game night; World Bosses are also PvP events so trying to actually fight the boss while all the top guilds are there is nigh impossible.

The game performs great, can easily have massive amounts of players and NPCs on the screen all at once. Most players in PvE situations have been really friendly, teaming up to run through dungeons is a ton of fun.

It might not be for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

Rockstar decided to break perfect Linux (w/ Proton) support by tossing in BattlEye and not just checking the box to allow Linux users in.

The short of it: It's way too short, and way too repetitive.

- You can easily spin eight 10's and be done with the game.
- The game banks off of playing many rounds, because you unlock items for playing the game *many* (10-20) times.
- There are probably like 5 jobs. Everyone that goes to college ends up with the same highest-paying job. There's no chance about it.
- It's super easy to go into debt in the beginning, multiple times over. You start off with $200k, college is $100k. Land on an action/life tile and want to get life points? Also $100k. You now have $0.
- If a player gets high rolls they can get married in 2 turns. Other players are required to give you a wedding payment. No money left after college? You're in debt, congrats.
- After you get a job you're given the "lucky number" on the wheel, players that land on your lucky number have to pay you $50k. One player rolled two 10's and is halfway through the board, while you've rolled two 1's and are still in college? You're in debt, congrats.
- Going into debt gives you loans tokens in increments of $50k. Repaying loans is only an option on *some* (randomly) of the action tiles. Don't land on those tiles? Your $50k loans are now $100k to pay off at the end of the game. You lost, congrats.

If you want to play this game, at least get it on sale. I got it from a bundle.

V Rising is a castle building simulator where you fight through a tree of progressively more difficult bosses to unlock more decoration options for your castle.

9.5/10 - would tweak a few things.

Can't recommend the game in it's current state.

It has a LOT of potential, but it's still too early on to really enjoy. Especially with the bugs, the bugs really ruined it for me.

I got this game to play it with friends, and there is so much multiplayer desync (Which mind you, the multiplayer is a beta within the Early Access). When you join a multiplayer game, all the environment (Trees, ores, etc) load in using the map seed; what does not load in afterwards are which of those resources were already previously destroyed. So you could be swinging at a tree or breaking a rock that isn't even there. The game doesn't even update after you've hit it to recognize it's not there, you can just swing at it indefinitely and never get any resources from it. Unless you're in the lobby when the resource is destroyed, it's there forever.

Where I drew the line and finally decided to call it quits was where I was the only person in a 5-person game that got the "On fire bug", just google "Craftopia On Fire" and you'll see that dozens of other people came across the same bug. There are some suggested fixes like "Make a whole new character??" (Which your inventory, skills, and stats are tied to). The bug started when we were on a desert island, so I thought maybe the fire was coming from overheating, though it was only occurring to my character. However, the bug continued onto the next island, and the next island.. Where we were on a lush green island, and decided to set up our base. Made some nice stone floors, and then wooden walls.. and just standing near the wooden walls caused them to catch fire; and then everything else that wasn't made primary out of rock or metal. Watching as our base went up in a blaze. Essentially the gist of the bug is that some desync thinks that your character is burning, and fire spreads, but you're not burning so fire just appears out of nowhere..?

Right now there also isn't a lot of character customization, but that's just cosmetic and doesn't have any effect as far as I can tell on gameplay. Currently you can only make a human character, but "elf" and "demon" are listed as "(Coming soon)", which is pretty cool to have different playable races. There are only a handful of hair customizations, and beards are also "(Coming soon)", but again, cosmetic with no real effect on gameplay.

I also want to point out that the English translations are not entirely complete, and not being able to read some of the item descriptions to be able to tell what an item does doesn't help.

Overall I can't wait to see what the future of this games holds, but not being able to continue on with my character (Even after several game restarts, suicides, and general trying to fix the burning issue) I'm just going to put the game down for now and wait and see.

Has quite a steep learning curve with the limited number of biomes, and each one increasingly becoming harder, and your train quickly speeding up. However it's a lot of fun to play
