Solid RPG. It has strong FF7 vibes, which isn't bad, but it lacks some level of polish with the gameplay. There's no real variety, yet at the same time the pacing and weird difficulty spike at the end feels like you should have more movesets available (I only ever had the lightning orb).

I did like it though, and coincidentally just beat it the other day and Episode 2 is now on sale, which I just purchased and plan to play through in the near future.

I have a few issues. I played it on PC and also on Xbox via Game Pass. The campaign seems to have received a severe downgrade in quality compared to the first. There are simple-ish issues like requiring knowledge before it is shown to you (sick dinos needing a medical facility to continue, only for the system to tell you about it later in the same chapter) so I kept having dinos escaping due to discomfort and had to figure out how to do certain things on my own, only to THEN be showed the on-screen tutorials.

Second, the overall complexity of care seemed to go into an annoying direction. I do like the first game and admit it's a little too simple, but they added extra complexity in the wrong areas and just made the game annoying to play. It's not a BAD game, but I honestly would prefer just going back to the first JWE for my dino park fix.

I like the original and this was the same thing but slightly better. There's not a lot to it and it's mostly mindless, and they don't pay off a lot of the earlier character stories, but it's still a fun experience overall. You can see the beginnings of what would eventually be Dying Light (1 and 2).

Solid early game for a small development studio. It had some little oddities that weren't too bad (navigation was a little weird, and combat felt a bit unbalanced sometimes). Overall I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it, especially on sale. Fairly short too, I think in the ~20 hour range (I beat it in less than 25, I believe), so it's not a huge commitment either in terms of RPGs.

Slow and not scary. Kind of got annoying after 15-20 minutes. Failed quite hard at building up any suspense or successfully pulling off any jump scares.

Unable to play due to progress blocking bugs.

First attempt: Got stuck at second baby bird feeding (had food, it would not take the food)

Second attempt: Got stuck at FIRST baby bird feeding because there was no food to feed when it's on my hand.

Third attempt: None, it doesn't save frequently enough for me to put up with this.

I mean, there's not a lot to say. It feels like a Half-Life game, especially HL2. It's literally the BEST VR game out right now. It's basically a must-play for any HL fan, or even any VR fan, though not playing the other games prior will be a little weird with not understanding context.

Basically the only things "bad' about this game were sub-par human models with not-so-great animations, but everything else was basically perfect.

Also an RPG in all aspects except without a traditional XP system, which I am OK with.

I pray there is a sequel.

This will be simple and sweet. If you like Minecraft, terraria, and RPGs in general, then you should try this out. It is a bit slow to begin with, and has VERY little instruction on how to play, but once you figure things out it comes out very clean and enjoyable. With more tweaking and features coming in the future, this is definitely a title to sink your teeth and time into.
