FTL plays great on a computer, but it really comes alive on a tablet. The touch interface of a tablet just feels perfect for the type of game this is. That said, it's one of my favorite vacation games. Low resources and easy to learn. Hard to master. I've yet to beat the end game. Grrrr! But motivated to keep trying.
