love it when I buy a game, then upon dumping 10 hours in a single day proceed to buy the rest of the catalog.

FOR WHATEVER REASON, FOR HOWEVER MUCH YOU LOVE THIS GAME, DO NOT BUY UNTIL IT'S ON SALE.

This review is written by someone who has owned and played every single Farcry game.

Usually, when I play a Farcry game, I enjoy the fact that my actions (the rare times where you can decide the fate of the game, usually by killing/sparing an enemy) actually mean something.

I've played 3, 4, 5, then New Dawn in that order on Steam since I played 1, 2, and Primal on console.

This was the first time that I've felt like my decisions were completely meaningless. For example, When you get to decide whether or not Mickey dies, it literally does not matter a single micron whether you kill her or not. She never comes back to either haunt/amend her ways. She doesn't sick her Highwaymen at you. Nothing. Only positive to killing her is you get to loot her body. WTF?

In all the other games, ESPECIALLY 4, I loved how my decisions actually effected the world, and I believe this is one of the key ingredients in what makes Farcry, Farcry. I don't know about others, but this game truly did not feel like a Farcry game.

If you love Farcry for solely the gameplay, wait for a sale. The weapon system is super fun imo, and unlike 5, hunting actually has somewhat of a significance again! Wait for a sale and then pick it up; TRUST ME.

If you love Farcry for the story, I'd suggest just watching TheRadBrad or some other Youtuber on their channels. Even on sale, if you just want it for the story, I really don't think the game is worth it.

I was fortunate enough to get the $130 bundle of both 5 and New Dawn's deluxe editions for $20, and I think Farcry sales are quite common.

How I think they could bring back this game.
You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kill it.

1. Completely take down BLR
2. Make a new game, i.e. Blacklight 2 or something
3. Make the game 15-30 dollars UPFRONT.
4. Completely do an overhaul of everything wrong with BLR.
5. Take down all microtransactions that DON'T have to do with appearance (Kind of like Tennogen in Warframe, I have 800 hours I know my ♥♥♥♥)
6. *This is where a business major would come in *
MAYBE Pull a Payday 2 (Release x amount of copies for free, make the game free, then make the game free again, except add DLC)
7. Seriously market this game. Let this ♥♥♥♥♥ be known!
8. KEEP good things, OVERHAUL (Not get rid of) bad things, GET RID OF (Not overhaul) broken things.

If you have any ideas please let me know or sum because I remember first logging into this game and was like Jontron all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "thisgonbeagoodgame." And now its practically dead.

I have 300+ minutes on this game and I can tell you one thing for certain: KEEP UP. This is probably one of the most rapidly changing games probably ever, and with this are some pros and cons.
Pro's:
#1: If you don't like something in game and/or theres a bug about the game, exepect around 2-4 Hotfixes (which are mini updates) to fix them/change them.

#2: This game is LITERALLY 100% NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FREE2PLAY. Cosmetics and looking cool might cost you a tad bit, but its no bank-breaker. Everything in-game (besides vaulted aka not accessable primed things) can be acheived free. Mostly. I probably might be forgetting a few things, and even if those are very significant and will NOT change the gameplay or experience.

#3 The game is very unique with its parkour mechanic. Parkour 1.0 used to have a tribes ascend parkour type feel to it and it was kind of meh, but now with parkour 2.0 you can literally reach any point of the map ever.

#4 Um, space ninjas?

#5 Does NOT require a huge PC to run this game.

Cons:

#1 The community is either super chill or just filled with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

#2 MASTERY RANK DOES NOT EQUAL HOW GOOD YOU ARE AT THE GAME AJKDHGAKMHALKH

#3 Though this game, like listed previously, changes alot, sometimes it changes to a point where it just sucks. For me, the SotR update was abysmal. Like I actually hate the new void system WITH A PATION. Newer players might not get it, and even veteran players prefer it, but I hateeee it.

#4 This game throws you in with NO introduction to ANYTHING. Okay that was a bit exaggerated, but without watching a well-made begginers guide (ID SUGGEST iFlynn's 3.5 BEGGINERS GUIDE) you are basically stranded.

#5 The economic system in this game (The Trade chat) was very nice. You could stack up Trinity P systems, Ash P blueprints, and get hella cash, but now the new void system makes farming SO much more easier so the Trade chat is super messed up (In MY opinion at least) Now you might be thinking this is no issue, but it IS an issue if you try to buy a vaulted Warframe such as Frost or Rhino for example. Their prices might go down because of economic reasons and such but from what i've seen they wont. Because leading to....

#6 A LOT of people who play Warframe are greedy with platinum. I've been scammed multiple times and frankly it sucks. Not a huge issue for veterans or more experienced players, but if you are a new player and just so happened to get Vauban blueprints, some asshat will say its only worth 5 platinum, when its probably worth WAY more.

Another thing about WF too is that alot of people have different opinions and philosophies about how this game is supposed to be played or looked at, and this is my own philosophy. I'd suggest watching gameplay on youtube, reading other comments, and hell just ask people about this game.
