So far I've only played a little bit, but as a fan of rouge-like games, oh man it's super fun. It's very fast paced which makes it really fun and it feels challenging but not super overwhelming, which I know is sort of a rogue-like feature, but sometimes it's too much. This feels right. 3 thumbs up.

This game is something else. It's so basic, but the execution gets to you, and drives you forward. The Narrator, oh The Narrator. What a cheeky ♥♥♥♥ he can be. You often want to piss him off, and the fact that you can is a testiment to the greatness and imagination of the developers. The hype is real.

If you played Arkham Asylum, or just love Batman, you need to play this game. A lot of the game play mechanics and animations are very similar to AA, but they also add quite a bit, and improve upon what was already there quite nicely. My personal favorite tool, the line launcher, has gotten some pretty epic upgrades so far that allow you to do some very badass stuff, but I don't want to give it away!

The story is also top notch. It starts off brutal and just never turns down the heat (until you see Mr. Freeze ;P), and if you so choose, you can just fly around kicking ass all day if you feel like it; there is always a group of thugs somewhere, so finding a spot to grind is never hard, and you really notice when you enter new territory by how the graffiti and style of the buildings changes, and the thugs have a dress code as well.

If you played AA, you probably remember the Riddler Challenges that would unlock new challenges, bios, trophies, ect... There were about 240 in AA... in AC, there's 440 (400 Batman/40 Catwomen, oh yeah, you get to play as Catwomen!), and a lot of them are much more difficult than in AA, and will require you to acquire most of your upgrades, there are a lot you can get from the get go though. On top of that, there are side missions now, which I wont go too much into them, but you get back story/bio info from them similar to completing Riddler Challenges.

I would recommend this game to anyone, it's got brawling, stealth, gadgets, a great story, and an awesome world to explore, and I'm sure Arkham Origins is only going to be more epic.
