RWR is fun, action-packed, and oddly hard.

The game wants you to think that you are just like the thousands of soldiers around you, and that you are no action hero. You die so many times in this game, and though you definitely help to turn the tides of war in your favor, you aren't "him."

It has some good gameplay and a lot of replayability value.

It's customizable to your liking, and there are some good mods in the Workshop.

Overall: 8/10

Although the controls are a bit outdated and janky, Mafia's story will help you to look past them.
I REALLY loved this game's story, and it has some really neat and authentic characters I've never seen in any other game or story(I'm referring to character archetypes), which makes the story and atmosphere feel fresh.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

This game fell victim to "modern gaming."

I bought this game when I believe the Good Night, Good Luck update was released, so I couldn't play it before the update to see if it improved. Even if it was improved, this game still has a LONG way to go to improve.

What Can't Be Fixed:
- Story: This story was way worse than the first game. Suffice it to say, I struggle to remember anything about the story yet I still remember everything from Dying Light 1. I didn't like Aiden, he was not as likable as Crane.
- The Tone of the Game: I feel like this game is trying to pander to everyone. I don't care a lot about the pride flag being in the game, that's not what I'm saying. But because everything is too saturated and colorful, it feels like this series got Gears 5'd. It feels too colorful, yet the zombies are so pale(maybe this can be fixed idk).

What CAN Be Fixed:
Parkour: I'd be lying if I didn't say I was sad about how floaty and artificial this parkour felt. Techland screwed up having Aiden feel light.
Combat: Is Aiden carrying around a lightsaber, or why tf does he cut through everything so easily?

I feel like this game CAN be fixed, but I believe that how I look at this game cannot be.

UPDATE on 12/04/2024:
So after the developer straight up asked me if my opinion changed, I figured I'd give Dying Light 2 a shot. After all, if the developer wants to know, why not? Here's what changed for me:
- Movement. It kind of grew on me. The noticeable delay between pressing SPACE and jumping was still annoyingly long, but I kind of saw it as Aiden preparing to jump, like he was bending his legs to give him the power to jump.
Combat: The zombies still feel kind of brittle. For reference, I played on Normal difficulty. A dropkick still makes zombies feel very light. In human-to-human combat, however, machetes and axes felt new and improved where they didn't feel like knives through butter. It was very refreshing.
So overall, what can be fixed got fixed. Even if it meant I had to have a change of heart. Techland listens to their community, and the fact that I even picked this game up speaks volumes. At the very least, watch videos of free-roaming parkour and see how you feel about it.

In conclusion, I can appreciate how much effort the devs put into improving the game. I can happily say I enjoy the game.

I do not appreciate how much they charge for this game, which is why I bought it at a lower price, thanks to a sale. Once you get past the price, this game is super fun. It is well-paced and it is very satisfying to shoot zombies.

This game, in my opinion, is far sillier than the games before it. Zombie Army 4 takes itself far less seriously; it feels comical and over-the-top, with Zombie Hitler cackling atop a comically large tank and little zombie hands jousting each other and other silly but subtle easter eggs are found in all maps. I would not recommend if you want something more horror and demonic -- I would play Zombie Army Trilogy.

Gameplay is fun, the story is good, and the soundscape and sound design can be genuinely terrifying.

I would recommend.

8.5/10

I have played Dying Light on both console and on P.C., and each time I've played it, I've been hit with fear, anxiety, and satisfaction. This game plays with you on a mental level. It will scare you, it will make you very paranoid, but bashing one of the zombie's head in with one swing is one of the most satisfying things, I'll tell you. Buy this game.

For a game I thought I wasn't going to enjoy, but bought because of friends, Stardew Valley was a pleasant addition to my game library. The atmosphere is delightfully light-hearted, and where the game has its "darker" atmospheres, the ambience plays more of a mysterious ambience than anything truly scary or dark; in my opinion, at least. The gameplay is enjoyable, though I've seen it to a point of a pure bore, where there is nothing to do; but if you like farming, adventures, and a little bit of romance mixed into it all, get this game. But to secure the game's fun moments, bring some friends, too!

SPOILERS

So, I'm writing this review after playing through the campaign more than 4 times; and I just completed my 5th today, my other ones were on Xbox.
Through all of my playthroughs, I still feel all of the feelings I had the first time I played it; I felt anger towards my former, in-game allies, and this game does a good job of a ideological transition. From de la Verendrye treating you like a piece of s**t in the beginning to killing every last one of Achilles' assassins, this game can also turn the player from the Assassins like it did to me. This masterpiece of a game challenges you from start to finish, and that's a good thing.

RATINGS:
Story: 12/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Graphics: 9/10
Difficulty: 8/10( difficult but also well-balanced )

Early Access Review
Looks like a bad game, but it's a good game.
Granted gameplay is the same, with little changes to make, but however you play it, it's fun.
Buy it.

Good for a free game. It's a good time-waster.
