HellDivers2 is a great game and is lots of fun. I cannot recommend it enough, but I will not be doing so until Sony revert their latest decision to require a linked PSN account and not block 90% of the countries in the world from playing.

TL:DR; Great game, Great Developer, Terrible Publisher.

The Developers (Arrowhead) have done a awesome job (ironically, except for their community manager) and have engaged well with the community, however they decided to pair with a publisher whose screwed them over. Future developers beware.

I refunded the game (unsuccessfully) due to the recent decision by Sony to require a PSN account in order to continue playing the game. This was not an enforced requirement at the time of launch (we had the option to skip linking) and there was also no limit as to countries you could buy the in. Now after this change there are people who'll have to break TOS in order to continue playing the game and if they do they risk the banning of their PSN/Steam accounts.

Sony has a record of regular data breaches and many people don't want to risk their data in Sony's hands. Especially when it's been proving that the PSN account isn't required for the game to operate correctly.

Sony also retroactively changed the wording on their website when it previously said that a PSN account would not be required to play games like these on PC. Very scummy behaviour.
