It's an experience. Roguelike in a way most roguelikes aren't, in that there's very little that you can accomplish that will matter on a subsequent run through. That said, the things you retain from each run are far more personal and have less to do with the character's progress as much as they do with you, the player. Each run will have you learning, developing new strategies, refining old ones, furthering your understanding of how each and every type of particle in the game interacts with the others. The character might start with nothing each time, but what you've learned will deepen. It's fun, and addictive, and you'll come back to it each time it knocks you down, certain that *this* run will be the one you win. I haven't beaten it yet, but I made it farther the last run than I ever had before, and I can't wait to try it again.
