Bean Battles is my life. Everyday I wake up and play Bean Battles. But what makes it so great? Is it the beans? Is it the battles? Or is it just the community? Today I will tell you why bean game is best game.

There are over 400 types of beans, but only 9 of them get to battle. These beans are the pinto bean, the black bean, the cannellini bean, the lima bean, the gold bean, the jelly bean, the pink bean, the festive bean, and lastly, the snow bean. These 9 beans not only are unlockable cosmetics, but are also factions in the official Bean Battles discord. By far, the best bean faction is the Jelly Bean Gang (JBG). JBG has a very rich history which I can’t get into now. JBG also has some of the best players in the game on it. These include Bososaclab, Poida, and the maker of the game, Duck. The beans in this game add a fun aspect, but where the game really shines is in the battles.

That is until you play with some of the higher level and more skilled players. This game really shines in it’s completely broken movement mechanics that change the tides of battle. I could argue that the only reason why some of us actually still play Bean Battles is because of how crazy the fights can get with the movement. Although many of these movement tactics are from bugs, they are still a lot of fun. Some of these movement mechanics are bush/car boosting, katana charge jumping (an intentional feature), nade boosting, and wall climbing. With bush/car boosting, you can get in the air very quickly to ambush your opponents. Katana jumping is like a weak boost, but can be used to great effect to quickly get into trees. Nade boosting is just fun and rarely gets used effectively. Wall climbing is insane. It takes a lot of skill to do it, and is used a lot at higher levels of play. Another aspect of the battles is the guns. As of writing, there are 15 guns (12 if which are used in competitive preset), 3 sights, a silencer 2 grenades, a medkit, and 2 melee weapons, all of these weapons feel good to use (many players view the shank as op due to it being a 2 hit kill and the time between hits being very low). Battling may be fun and all, but where’s the fun without players to play with?

Although there aren’t many active players, those of us who still very much enjoy the game are always willing to play. Most of us can be found on the official Bean Battles discord. I would highly recommend joining it as you will also get notified of any small tournaments that may arise, and we can help with any issues that you may encounter while playing the gamer. As I am on the topic of the community, I now must talk about one of the negatives of the game. As of the time of writing the maker of the game, Duck, has been silent for a while. Due to Duck being the owner of the game, he is the only person who can ban people. Therefore, the leader boards are filled with hackers. This also means that we haven’t had an update in a while. Don’t let that discourage you though. As I said earlier there is still a group of us bean battlers who still enjoy playing the game.

Sure it might look dumb at first, but once you get into the beaning, the battling, and the community, you will see that it’s a really fun, cheap game to play. Get it for yourself, get it for your friends, hell even get it for your dog, the game is only 99¢ and even goes on sale sometimes for 52¢. So what are you waiting for, get beaning!
