Should you buy Halo MCC?

(keep in mind writing a review this early in the game is subject to change)

So the release was finally here and as of now having played 17 hours of this game since release i wanted to share a couple of thought and things that might help you make a decision wether you should buy Halo MCC.

first of all, it's great to see this game finally back on PC after a long period of time. 343i had to make sure not to make major flaws in the game which may result in the player base slowly dying later down the line..

Let's start with
The pro's
-in the pc flight latency and input delay was a major issue, this has been resolved and works as intended (atleast on my end).
-having a uncapped FPS option even though this was not planned for release.
-Mod support, always fun to see what people can create.
-the option for better graphics(even though you can not change any visual graphics, it's just one setting that you can turn on and off).
-Nostalgia(This only applies ofcourse if you played the original games back in the day).
-Custom games(will say something about this in the cons aswell).
-Servers are stable.

having the most things from above feels good! However I still have the cons, we'll get to them now.

The cons
-matchmaking, the servers work fine there are no issues however finding a game can take up a quite a bit of time especially when playing with friends.
-There is no forge :( (This was stated by 343i, this only counts for the PC port).
-Custom games, i talked about this in the pro's so why is it with the cons aswell? hosting a custom game seems like fun! well that is if you transferred everything from the XB360 to PC. as of now there is no way to get custom maps/game modes on the PC.
-(this can be seen as a pro)The Reach leveling system, It is NOT with credits anymore. You grind XP which makes you progress in level, increasing in level gives you a Tier unlock point. with this token you can unlock the tiers in order they were put. So there is no way of you just getting what you want.. everyone unlocks the same depending on how fast they are in leveling.
-inviting can be tricky.. I invite them through steam but if you want to add somebody that uses the game pass or such you need to add them through the xbox companion app.
-each individual level icon is not as flashy anymore meaning, they have toned down the size and such.

atm. some things need to be fixed if they want to maintain a happy player base.

Conclusion

Should you buy Halo MCC as of now.. This all depends on you, do you mind parts of the cons? then you should wait. is this no issue? then this is a no brainer you should definitely buy it. for the main part the game is playable in the matchmaking section and campaign. they still plan on improving the game to make it even more enjoyable.

i hope to have informed you enough for now.

I've been playing the game for a couple of hours now and as a Osu! player i find this game quite fun to play! i would say this game feels much like a combination of a hatsune miku/osu!/ddr.

i would recommend this game! 8/10
