The gameplay, the missions, the music all give you the Ace Combat vibe and feel but it scratches the itch that Ace Combat just barely could.
Pretty good graphics, challenging missions, Jose Pavli's ear pleasing music all add up to this wonderful experience, I recommend anyone that has ever played Ace Combat to try it out.
If you are a realism despot however it might give you rabies.

Good if you have pals to banter with, otherwise the clunky sub-mechanics and long trips may become unbearable.

I just finished it. Don't have much to say. It's brilliant. Don't even hesitate to get it.

TL:DR - Good game.

I'm a fan of Monster Hunter franchise, and this is a love-letter from Capcom to the likes of me. Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a great turn based strategy game with a heartwarming yet cruel story, great gameplay that does not feel far from home and many improvements over the previous game especially a multiplayer mode.

You start the game as the grandkid of a legendary rider, who aims to follow the path of your grandfather. The gameplay mechanics are beautifully explained by the tutorial missions and make some things clear so you don't feel like you are mission out on anything. Your companions -Navirou and Ena- can get pretty annnoying or bothersome at times but they're helpful. Monsters are well designed (especially the final boss) and are kept faithful to the mainline Monster Hunter games. This game also includes Elder Dragon monsties as well as Deviant monsties, which were not present in the previous game and considering they're mostly fan favourite monsters, this is an amazing feature. Soundtrack is beautiful and surgically induces you with emotions you were meant to feel during the key moments of the story. It's an overall amazing experience with very generous post-game content, making you want to play for the hours to come.

This does not mean it is perfect though. There are some important downsides. Although the music is great, only ambience can be heard whilst exploring the world or a den, this does make exploring feel tedious and boring. The story is also not very adult-like either despite taking some bog steps from the first game, it ultimately falls short of maturity except for some key instances which I cannot spoil for anyone. Yet, in my opinion, the game is amazing and polished enough.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 was an amazing experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone that is or willing to be into Monster Hunter. This was the first game I pre-ordered and I was not disappointed in the slightest.

The game is amazing, I have over 300 hours on Game Pass but Steam version has some terrific issues I've been yearning to fix and been looking for ways to fix. FPS drops are horrific, I used to get stable 70+ in ultra settings with a 1650 but on steam I struggle to keep my frames above 45. Another thing is the trigger rumble. If you have an Xbox controller and yearning to play with trigger vibration then bad luck cause they are not supported on steam version for some godforsaken reason DESPITE being a first party Xbox app. They also used to work on Game Pass/MSStore version as well and they don't seem to be willing to add the support back. Other games such as Tomb Raider and F1 has trigger rumble support but a first party app doesn't? Such a joke.

Amazing game. Really good RPG. Lots of options and alternate routes. Your actions matter A LOT and some things are irreversible. Think like a scholar, battle like a scoundrel and court like a bard who just got imprisoned due to 4 charges of beastiality and kidnapping.

The game is adrenaline-filled and despite the name "Metal Gear", it plays nothing like one. You're a literal cyborg ninja that fights other cyborgs, machines and other cyber ninjas. Although the game is fun, some levels are chore-like and the camera system is questionable and annoying. I'd suggest using a camera mod. Good game, very nice.

They've escaped.

Help.

Good game, fun, chill and destructive. DLC's don't seem to be worth buying in my honest opininon but I don't have them so who cares.

Fun game, lots of driving and going from somewhere to somewhere but it's a staple trait of all ubisoft games at this point, still bad but if you're used to it, ehhh... It's not realistic, but fun. Story barely exists but you have good freedom. Game runs like dung if you dont have at least a 1060/RX480. Lowering graphics dont help much. Good game, runs bad.
