I would recommend Laika but it is not the perfect game.
The story, tone and music are great. I don't really have much to comment on there.

However, the gameplay is quite samey
The bike gameplay is pretty unique and fun, but while the enemies change, the way you beat them barely does.
In that sense it is not really a metroidvania, where the early game is often barely comparable to the end game.

Good game

Held of from the game for so long due to the mixed reviews, but having played for just 6 hours in VR I can already tell that I am going to love it. Would be nice to show the VR reviews because I don't think those would be mixed
The immersion in VR alone would have sold this game to me. But all the ships you can buy and exploration with different mission types just add to the experience.

I was lost in space, jumping around not sure what to do, until I found an occupied escapepod got some credits and completed a mission. Ever since then I just know I wouldn't mind getting lost for hours more.

If you are into space sims and own a VR headset then this is a must!
