The localization is garbage and quite often makes things up.

I initially saw this game as just an Ace Attorney clone (which it pretty much is), but ended up being very much positively surprised.

+ Character art is great and various sprites are very expressive
+ Cute girls
+ Fun characters
+ Dialogue was fun to follow and never felt monotonous (looking at you TGAA) or boring
+ Cases do a good job of keeping you interested

- Cases could've been fleshed out more
- Towards the ending things got a bit complicated for me to follow, and ended up brute forcing things
- UI art is a bit uninspired

Overall I'd say it's definitely worth it at full price. Hope this game gets a sequel with a bigger budget. Day one buy.

Please make the save an actual file next time instead of a registry key. Pain to transfer to Steam Deck and back. This has been just fixed.

The game strikes a great balance between multiple aspects, which makes it a joy to play. After the slow-ish start, the game weaves exploration, combat, branching paths and enough plot happenings together in a way, that always makes you want to see what happens next. The level scaling ensures that you'll always have some amount of challenge, and normal difficulty feels really well balanced. The "HD 2D" style is visually great, although it'd be nice to see character portraits next to dialogue boxes with maybe a few different emotion faces. Music is good, but not necessarily something I'd jam to outside of the game. Overall, it's a very well designed package that works great as a whole. I hope they make this into a series.

They charge you money to edit your character more than once after creating it. There's also ~200€ worth of DLC, a lot of which could've been event quest rewards instead.

Performance is great, though that's to be expected of a Switch game.

Weapon balance isn't very good, for the majority of weapons elemental weapons are not worth using, rendering 90% of the weapon variety useless.

Game physics are to some degree tied to frame rate, and the game functions differently at higher frame rates.

Multiplayer is region locked to your Steam download region. At least it can be changed freely, but combined with the clunky multiplayer quest joining, it's a mess.

The constant disconnects make it really frustrating to finish siege hunts.

End game revolves around literal 0.01% drop rates to artificially pad gameplay time.

Someone at the dev team seriously thinks friendly fire is a good thing in a co-op game.

With the Iceborne update, the performance for both the base game and the expansion suffered significantly, with excessive CPU usage and multiple frame rate drops, even with beefy systems. All because Capcom went greatly overzealous with their anti-cheat programs, essentially screwing over tons of actually paying customers. Hilariously pirates and cheaters seem to be bypassing this already.
