Best RPG of all time. Steam version is great but SNES is the definitive version for me. Steam version has most of the extra DS content like Dimensional Vortex and Lost Sanctum.

The downsides are the stuttering when moving diagonally and of course, the removal of Frog's accent from the translation of the SNES version. Oh well. Still great game. Highly recomend!

I beat this game 9 times and I'm trying to restrain myself from playing it a 10th time. No other game's combat comes close to this.

Coming from a very huge Metroid fan, this is an amazing "Metroidvania" title. It inspired me to write this review. The music, atmosphere, feeling of isolation, and difficulty all play a part in this amazing game. Truely wish there was more but it kept me occupied for 30 hours, completing the game 100%. The difficulty is decent, and the more difficult events are entirely optional.

It wasn't too difficult overall for myself. Just takes some head knowledge and to think things through instead of button mashing. Which is what I enjoy also. The environments are beautiful, some dark and depressing. The music that it is accompanied by also sets a great tone for the game.

9/10 for me.

Amazing game. I have played this game for the first time and beaten it shortly before writing this review. So my opinion is non-biased on nostalgia.

The game is older, so the graphics, and art style are nothing compared to what is out now, and may be a little jarring at first, it was for me. Soon after getting used to the graphics was an amazing and wonderful experience I wish I had undergone when the game first came out. However, it did not diminish over time. The story is great, even if it is a bit confusing at first, it all falls into place mostly over the course of the game. I did feel there were some plotholes and unexplained points, but nothing too serious.

Music is awesome. Definitely some memorable tunes will be stuck in my head for awhile. I enjoyed the turn-based gameplay, and the world map. I highly recommend the game if you have never played it, it will be good to play through the original before the remake comes out, as the original will surely have a special place in your heart.
