TL:DR This is not a bad port, your PC is just made of milk and paper. This game is great, play it if you want.

This review will mainly address the issues other users are complaining about as I have not progressed much into the story.

The solution to a lot of these problems is capping the framerate to 60fps inside the NVIDIA control panel or the AMD equivalent, i did this immediately and have been having a very enjoyable experience despite being able to run this game easily at 150fps +. (I have not attempted this)

This port is NOT broken or unplayable, people are just impatient and as mentioned above their hardware may very well not meet the bare minimum, meeting the requirements exactly does not guarantee smooth performance and none of these issues are so detrimental that they cannot be patched out.

Ultimately I believe whatever issues people have will be resolved, if not by Sqaure then eventually by modders whatever the case, this game is fully playable just follow everyone else's advice about capping the framerate and then run it on whatever settings your build can handle.

TLDR: STOP LOOKING AT REVIEWS AND JUST BUY IT

Honestly if you're looking at reviews to decide whether or not you should buy then let mine be the one to say that you should absolutely get this game.

its a very grindy game naturally but there's so much content and the developers do a good job keeping the community updated on future patches and what's being released.

All the available characters play very differently but can be built using the same items, if you enjoy unlocking things and just progressing through a game but playing it then this is for you.

Oh and there are mods, I haven't used any myself but the developers really advocate for the use of mods in the game, they can add new characters, items and maps, I've seen mods where people play as Sora from KH and Goku and stuff like that.

Maybe peer pressure some of your friends into buying it so you don't have to grind through everything on your own, it works out that if someone unlocks an item in their game and plays with you or others then everyone can use that item as long as that person is in the game.

I mean yeah okay its buggy, textures don't load, characters talk with their mouths closed and all of the other weird ♥♥♥♥ that happens.

it's still fun though, the story is interesting and the gameplay when it works can be very enjoyable.

maybe pick it up when it's on sale or something to avoid paying £50.

if you're looking for a fun fighting game to play with friends or to enjoy a competitive scene then Tekken is for you, before that though here are some pros and cons:

Pros:
Fun (by yourself or with friends)
interesting and unique cast of characters
great community
good mod support (model changes, stage mods, voices, costumes etc)
super popular online
dedicated punishment tutorial for every character

cons:
no official tutorial. - (can be offset by researching online but the game doesn't officially teach you how to play)
little to no communication from the developers to the community in regards to patches, upcoming DLC or anything else.
online netcode - can be a serious issue especially if you're on WiFi.
Difficulty - Tekken is the hardest fighting game you will ever learn to play, there are many factors as to why including the fact that it is 3D, along with there being no tutorial you're basically fully in charge of how to approach learning the game. This can be very intimidating for new players early on especially since there is no support from the developers.
Bloated cast - As much as everyone is unique and interesting to play, there are far too many characters in this iteration of Tekken, making it very difficult for newcomers to learn matchups.

As you can see the cons outweigh the pros somewhat, however despite this I am still able to recommend this game despite its shortcomings due the community surrounding the game and just how enjoyable to play the game can be.

My advice for new players is to take your time, as mentioned above you could argue that this is the hardest fighting game available to play and playing online with the weird netcode can be frustrating so I suggest hitting training most ASAP and picking someone you like the look of regardless of "tier" and just get a feel for the game.
