casual stardew in the best ways possible-- excited for a full release, at which point it might honestly pass stardew in my cozy game heart. offers more than being a "clone" of farming rpgs and well worth a purchase if you're a fan of the genera, see others reviews for what it does differently (and sometimes much better). the one i'll mention is that the NPC conversations are much more dynamic and life-like, giving every villager a personality that you can care about.

great game! if you liked the first one, you'll LOVE this one-- even longer levels and builds upon the characters and worlds established in the last game. don't feel obligated to play the first, but if you're interested you should anyways! wayyy longer than most click and points i tend to play so you get your moneys worth.

good game- came for silly puzzles and stayed for the wonderful characters

this game pissed me off with kings quest logic for certain puzzles, i had to play with a guide open near-always because the in-game hint system was pure solutions diagrams. like, i had to quit a few times because i was so frustrated about not understanding what they wanted me to do. by the end of the game, specifically the last level, i loved it. i think the barrier to understanding what the game wants is a little bit high (especially if you want to 100% the levels), but once you get the nuance down it feels amazing. i think their best levels are definitely the drawers and cabinets, so its a good choice for the DLC and i'll probably pick it up which is crazy considering how angry i was at the game just yesterday. when they say "Multiple solutions make for intuitive and satisfying puzzle design", that's a bit of a half-truth. some puzzles have fluid solutions, some have several solutions that count as different stars, and some are so specific i don't think i could've got them without hints/solutions.

i think i am in an abusive relationship with this game

fun and creative with mini challenges that kept me coming back. also longer than I expected and well worth it at full price of $30 at my time of purchase; the perfect october game

I've spent 20~ hours on a childrens puzzle game. Love it.
