Best F1 game so far. Handling is much improved. Career is great, wish the F2 guys had cutscenes in F1 career as well though.

Early Access Review
Could do with tightening up player model animations. Maps look great, weapons handle nicely. I like how the game-mode plays. Feels good for an Early Access.

Would love better maps (they need to be less flat)
Also think the playermodels and skyboxes could be better

Much improved from early access.
But to call this finished is a complete travesty, it's laggy and the assets look like crap. Everything about this game screams cheap, including the terrible capitalised title of the game.

Can't believe I never wrote a review for this.
Doom was my perfect FPS in 1994, and Doom is my perfect FPS now.
This is my favourite arena shooter ever... in a single player game.

I wish they kept the same movement from the single player in the multiplayer. (air-control)

I haven't bought an F1 game since F1 2012. I felt that they generally started to follow a formula (lolpun) and got into somewhat of a rut.

I'm happy to say that this one completely smashes it out of the park. Absolutely everywhere where F1 has stumbled in the past has finally been addressed. For instance, the feeling that you were never really driving other cars during qualifying, and that it was all faked to give the illusion of a close session. All that is gone. You can now watch your AI competitors via their onboard cameras whilst parked in the pitlane.
The AI feels consistent through each round of the calendar too. In previous years I would find that I would struggle to qualify in Australia, but be pole position in Bahrain. Now it feels that over the year they stay competitive.
From what I am hearing too, the AI seems to pose quite a challenge. I'm only playing on Hard AI difficulty right now, but I feel like I might be able to put it up a notch soon.
I think my new favourite feature for this particular outing of this franchise though, is the practice sessions. They finally feel worth doing. The track acclimatization and tyre wear tests make practice feel meaningful.
I recommend anyone who has already bought the game to put the damage up from "Full" to "Simulation", (it makes no sense to me that there is a setting above full but whatever). Simulation tends to lead to more AI faults and crashes leading to two safety cars so far, one real and one virtual, but they all add to the excitement of each race. This makes the damage particuarly unforgiving however, leading to more than a few tyres hanging on by their tethers, (which looks awesome by the way).

All in all, this is their best yet, and I really think this is up there with the great Geoff Crammond Grand Prix 4. I really recommend you give it a go.

This game goes deep, and then deeper.
