Analytical, completist, caring nature to playing games. I like to explore every avenue I can, erring on the side of high scores and keeping people/relationships alive. I enjoy good engaging narratives and engaging, challenging but not nearly impossible gameplay. If gameplay mechanics or bugs are an issue, I will be quick to point them out but I am also easily impressed by clever and/or humorous puzzles/gameplay elements and dialogue.

Genres I like: Adventure/Inventory Puzzle (eg. Monkey Island, Sam & Max, classic Leisure Suit Larry), Logic Puzzle (eg. Professor Layton), RTS/City-building (eg. Settlers, Zeus, Cultures, SimCity, Anno), Simulation/Business Management (eg. Euro Truck Simulator, Restaurant Empire, The Sims, tycoon games, Tropico), platform (eg. Megadrive/SNES era and DS era Mario and Sonic), racing games (eg. Gran Turismo) slight interest in RPG

Genres I am not keen on: casual/freemium, horror, endless/sandbox games (prefer structure and goals), shoot-em-up, military-only RTS, Star Wars franchise (I like Star Trek but all the games I've tried are clunky/limited and flawed), sports.

I prefer single-player but am open to co-ops and skirmishes with players of similar ilk. Games involving pirates, hot ladies and past or futuristic human cultures are definite lures.
