As you can see, I have played this game quite a lot. The Long Dark is equal amounts of frustrating and rewarding, both in just the right quantities to keep a survival game nut interested. It is also refreshing to have a survival game where the solution to all your food problems isn't to construct a farm and a house as the first two things you do. You cannot bunker down in one place forever, but rather are encouraged to keep switching regions, exploring, taking risks and sacrificing stats for a reward that might just keep you going a bit longer.

You will fail, you will plunder, you will survive.
And if you are anything like me, you will love every second of The Long Dark.

Oh and the storymode is also A+, I am loving chapter 3. ;) Really tickles that 'Caretaker' instinct.
