I never thought I would enjoy a farming simulator so much, literally have spent hours playing the game without realizing it. It's so wholesome, I love it.

While it may not look like I have much time at all in this game, I actually have about 50+ hours. I initially pirated this game to try it out when my friend recommended it to me about 3 months ago. I knew about this game, and I had pirated and tried to play it on initial release, but it was so difficult that I could barely get past the first boss. I quit shortly afterward, because I couldn't see what I was supposed to do at all. Coming back to this game, I tried to be more open minded, and figured out how to get to the second area and beat the first boss. When I first unlocked an ability, I was blown away by how much the world opened up from it. Then I got another ability, and this one opened up 2 new areas I could explore. After arriving at one area and finding the 3rd major ability, I finally realized some of the appeal of the game I was missing. The world of Hallownest only opens up when you take the effort to enjoy exploration, and up until then the game was still holding your hand. The 3rd ability was the last "tutorial" item, and soon you can realize that after this ability, it becomes possible to quickly finish the game after it. The game is difficult, yes, and there are many times where you're platforming skills just aren't enough yet. Let me tell you, the more you play and explore and try out new builds the more fun you will have. And then there is the art, music, and storyline. The art is amazing, and the music flows very well with everything. The storyline is subtle, but if you take the effort to learn the lore of the game you will feel enraptured.

All in all, as a person who initially disliked this game, as a person who didn't give it the chance it deserved, this game is 10/10. Can't wait for Silksong!
