TL:DR at the bottom. this one is going to be a long one.

this game is good, but needs some polish and tweaks in some areas.

first and foremost, and as others have mentioned, it is a tricky to learn. it took me running 4 or 5 cities into the dirt before i actually learned how to play the game. you WILL get frustrated and probably have to look up videos or tutorials (however, there are a decent amount of videos and posts to help you along). this leads me to my most important point about it;

things take time and you need to have patience!

you cant just build a giant city all willy nilly right off the bat (there is an unlimited money mode though if you would like to). i made that mistake a couple of times. you need to pay attention and manage your resources skilfully to have any chance of success. even when you are not in realistic mode, you need to look at things through a lens of realism. it is very easy to bleed all of your money away if you are not careful.

it also uses some (although not much, and sometimes its barely noticeable) ai art, that is something i'd personally like to see changed in later updates. i’d maybe be fine with it if it was a free game, but it is not.

things i like about the game:

- you have so many options of what you want to have on and off, it can make different cities feel interesting and new, and you can kind of create your own difficulty with all of the options. (i appreciate having an ‘unlimited money’ mode where you can just do whatever as well!)

- the game looks great. i love seeing actual historical vehicles in the game and it has a great USSR era aesthetic overall.

- i enjoy that things take time, it makes it feel more rewarding than if you could do everything at once. i like having goals to work towards.

- the developers seem to be paying attention to people's thoughts and fixing bugs which is always nice.

- i love the images on the loading screen as well as the slovakian (i think…) city names in the game. it’s a country and a language you might not see a lot of depending on where you are, so it's very interesting to experience!

things i dont like about the game:

- the tutorial/campaign is not bad per-se but still left me confused in a lot of parts, some of which i fixed by playing, others i did not.

- crashes and stops responding (during startup usually) all the time! and a lot of time i have to close it as it never responds again.

- for a game of its price range, the fact that it uses ai art is disappointing. however it's not important to the game and doesn't actually look that bad. still, thats not the best excuse and i don't want to defend it, im just saying it doesn't take away from the overall experience much.

things i want to see (excuse if any are already in the game, i haven't seen everything yet):

- more decorations and monuments
- possibly something like parks?
- the campaign/tutorial going more in depth about the menu on the left side (theres useful stuff in there i didn't discover until like,15 hours in!)
- more maps, personally i'd like to see one with oceans or lots of water you have to build around.
- through playing, i only saw the prices of oil and coal change. it would be cool to not only have them lower, but maybe rise and affect more products. this is probably already a thing but i haven't seen it yet.

TL:DR; a complicated, rewarding, realistic city builder AND resource manager with automation elements. rough around the edges in some areas, but overall a very good game that i enjoy a lot. if you are up for a challenge (and like city builders and resource management, it's important that you enjoy both), play it. if the complexity (or other things i mentioned) turns you off, do not.
