It's janky and frustrating at times, but a lot of fun.

Loved it.

I would have preferred a little more work on the journal / quest interface, as it was hard to find information about past conversations at times, but that's a minor ♥♥♥♥♥♥ compared with how much I enjoyed the game.

When my friend fails a puzzle, he's an idiot. When I fail a puzzle, it's because my friend's an idiot.

The game was good, though.

It was a great co-op puzzle experience.

This was so good.

As close to a proper Blade Runner game as we'll ever get.

SPOILERS:

There are one of two scenarios here:
1.) Davey Wredon made this game in its entirety and constructed a fairly self-congratulatory narrative that seems desperate to appear deep. A few interesting moments, but otherwise a "dear diary" walking simulator that provides little engagement, and even less entertainment.
2.) Davey Wredon knowingly violated the copyright and wishes of another developer and released it as a commercial product without their consent.

In the first case, my recommendation for this game would be a "maybe" veering on "no". In the second case, my recommendation would be that this game deserves no credit, should be removed from Steam and an apology made.

In order to make this review short, I will only list the things that bothered me about the game:
(1) The lipsynching is average at best.
(2) Some of the swearing felt forced.

Everything else was perfect.

Do yourself a favour and buy this game.

This is by far the best pirate game to come out of the games industry in many years. Relentless fun with very few flaws, it's a must-play.
