One of the times I wish there was a mixed option for reviews

The game is 50/50. Some levels are well balanced and extremely entertaining. Others are just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ map design where there's no way to avoid alerting the guards and you eventually have the whole map looking for you. It's frustrating when you're told not to kill anyone, but you can't get past a certain part of the level without alerting 10 guards to your presence.

I want to push through levels like this to get to the good ones, but Christ, is it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. It's like they got lazy and didn't think out some of the missions

Edit: As of now, I can confirm that the AI is glitched and is somehow "spotting" me when I haven't
a) been seen
b) knocked out/killed any guards
c) turned off any lights
d) been caught on camera

Most annoying ♥♥♥♥ ever. I take back what I said about wanting a 'mixed' option for this review. I straight up don't recommend this game.

This game is a steaming pile of snail defecation. I understand the game's title as upon joining a server I wanted to harshly stop playing immediately and run to the door to touch some grass.

Capping civilians in the face when your teammate dies simulator

No skill based matchmaking makes this a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hellhole for new players. Never installing this garbage again.

Decent game.
Great when paired with mods.
Your ideal battlefield sandbox with ragdoll physics, minimalist but charming graphics and a speciality for running on low-end PCs. Gameplay gets extremely bland when playing vanilla, but there's a massive range of mods for the game. Almost anything you can think of, there's a mod (or several) for it - World War II, Star Wars, Warhammer 40K, medieval warfare,
etc.
Ravenfield can be moulded into almost any of your maniacal dreams of bloody warfare, which is primarily why it's loved by so many.

One of the best Call of Duty games to ever grace our screens.

Refuses to hold back on blood and gore, campaign is 'historically accurate' (more so than the CoD games after it), in depth characters, great stories, innovative gameplay, great multiplayer (well it is just the same as all the other CoD multiplayers - run, shoot at ♥♥♥♥, die, repeat) and an infamously difficult version of the Veteran difficulty. Can't believe I put myself through that ♥♥♥♥ looking back on it.

If this is your first Call of Duty game, or you're getting bored of the repetitive, dry, tasteless newer ones, then give this a shot.

The price tag is downright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrendous though. The game is now over 14 years old, and they're still charging £20/$25. Daylight robbery, classic Activision. Needs a serious amount subtracted from it. I don't blame you if you don't think it's worth it... wait until a sale (although the price will still be pretty hefty).

My favourite CoD game along with 2009's MW2. 9.5/10

Writing a review, because I feel like I have a few more hours than most players here.
I have completed the game 3 times. Once in singeplayer, once with a friend, and once more in singleplayer for a second playthrough.

I highly recommend this gem of a game.
You play as Vinnie, an Italian-American gangster during 1944. You fight hostile gangsters, American soldiers, the Third Reich, Nazi zombies and huge infectious bloated rats...
... A U Boat, a Tiger tank, a Nazi UFO-war-machine, and a ball with machine guns on it.

The guns are super fun to play around with, combat feels amazing, and there's more than enough gore to suit your needs. The chainsaw is also entertaining to use. And so is the bat. And so is, well, everything.

All in all, I highly recommend this game. Even if you're not sure about buying, you should still try it, and if you end up disliking the game, then get a refund.

Edit: As of now, I have completed all the achievements. My point has not changed at all, though. This game is amazing.

There's a problem with this game.
I've been sitting here, waiting for my friend to get into the game without crashing for almost a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hour.
A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HOUR wasted of my time.
Everytime he changed a setting it crashed.

Developers need to fix this pile of broken unplayable ♥♥♥♥.

Edit: it's a fun game, but this problem needs to be fixed.

Can't play this game anymore because "my computer is not compatible with AVX". I bought this game around 6 months ago and I was given no warning of this happening. Now I have to set my graphics to my native resolution and that will cause so much lag that the game will be unplayable. Wish I could refund but I have too many hours.

Do not buy this game until you know if your PC is compatible with AVX or not.
