Great concepts but the devs fail to deliver anything meaningful with YEARS of dev time. Do not expect a finished or fleshed out product.

There are many paths through the horde-survivors landscape but they all lead to Brotato.

Brotato's strongest assets lie in its robust item catalog and hefty character roster. Items in the game support emergent strategies where the usefulness of a passive or weapon varies wildly from run to run and each of the characters in the game comes with a unique set positive and negative traits which gives all characters a strong sense of identity.

There's a lot to love and the game's only a few dollars.

A mishmash of ideas comes together with lackluster results. Not a single system feels robust. Combat, crafting, base management, meta progression all fall short of engaging.

Interesting hybrid between deckbuilder and tower defense genres. The strong sense of style carries mediocre gameplay. Great soundtrack.

Lacks soul.

Cutesy auto-battler with a surprising amount of depth. Cross progression with mobile. Between the weekly roster shuffles and frequent balance + content updates this game delivers quality strategy at home or on the go
