It will compile the shaders (which causes stutters) ASIDE the rendering process so you don't perceive any stuttering. No, it is not bannable. Steam Proton builds have pre-compiled shaders for games, therefore not needing asynchronous dxvk shader compilation. Don't install stuff you don't understand, read up on it!

Noticed you said every proton game stutters, but you're using GE proton... have you set DXVK_ASYNC=1 ?
