So here's the thing.. I HAVE been recommending this to my friends. I watch battles on youtube. I love so many of the ideas that this game has brought to life.. but the reason why I'm leaving a negative review, and the feedback that I've gotten from my friends, and the frustration that I experience, is that this game runs like ♥♥♥♥, and it shouldn't.
I appreciate that the devs are doing continuing work on their engine, but as we near the end of 2023, I would hope that any of their future efforts are put into porting their engine to x64, and enabling users to take advantage of their hardware.
To be clear- I'm not asking for any change to graphics, or adding WOWOWOW features or anything. I'm fine with the dated UI, even. I won't even complain about the crappy font choice. The game engine just runs like ass, and that's on the devs to remedy.
I really want to snag Fortress Italy as well, but the base game is $59.99, and both DLC are $69.98, and I just cannot do it. I have the money to do it, but I won't. I already know how it will run, and that is a deal breaker for me.

This game got me back into gaming. Probably the best FPS I've ever played.

I do not know how I missed out on this entire series. This is exactly the kind of gameplay I adore. I'm gonna say right away- guys.. if you are wondering why the graphics look they way they do, my personal take is because of function, not cheapness. Or because all other efforts were put into other aspects of how the game plays.
This game PLAYS. It doesn't try to distract you by focusing your attention on shiny stuff. You just need the stuff to work, and to not let the game get in your way of playing the game.

This game lets me understand how I do not understand the scale of the universe.

I started my gaming days making mods for Quake 2 and playing with friends. This reminds me of that.

Outstandingly fun game, LOTS to unlock and keep you playing.

Excellent and satisfying shooter. Plays very much like CoD2. The rifles require you to make every shot count, and teamplay is a must. Looking forward to seeing improvements as the game further develops!

This is a very solid game for PC- ONLY if you are using DSfix, and it works great with a kb+mouse with DSMfix. http://darksouls.nexusmods.com Without a few mods, it's pretty much a bad PC port of a sweet game.
