This game is amazing, I have played TOS and TOL and TOL triumphs TOS.
Why? Well, in TOS the days were too short in my opinion. There wasn't enough to time to properly discuss what you've found and there are toxic people even on that game.
I'm not saying TOL doesn't have toxic people on there game, every game does, but the DEVs do their best to connect with their people and fix problems quickly. In TOS i've seen them ignore the demands more often than not.
For example, in TOL very few people liked the royal blood which replaced check allies on King. What the Devs did? They reverted it back to check allies.
Everyone complained about the new noble. What did the Devs do? They removed noble. They tried to make him useful but people would spam Hearasy.
I don't see TOS devs trying their best to please the people.

Also, those bad reviews are usually revenge reviews or people who just got banned for cheating. Don't cheat, play the actual game and then you won't get banned.
This game has problematic areas like every other game but it's amazing, the community is great despite those toxic weeds that pop up everytime.

The community is very helpful and fun, and I really enjoyed playing PTR and LIVE with them!
Also, I'm glad they do PTR to allow us to test the new build before it comes out and they can fix the problems we spot.

In TOS it can get repetitive and boring quickly, as it's always Mafia, and some sort of NK.
But in TOL it's either Unseen or Cult, and you have to keep guessing which it'll be. I've played games where we never knew what type of game it was until we FINALLY killed one of the Unseen/Cult.
Plus, every role can be converted except only a few.

Overall, I really enjoy this game. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it sure is mine! It makes you work hard to figure out who the killers are. If there is no prince, you have to take the chance of killing a fool, If there is no investigate you have to figure out another way to find the killers.
One smart game used the Inquisitor, who is an investigative role, to find the Sorcerer and the Cult, because Cult uses magic.

If you can handle all the bugs, it's pretty enjoyable.

JUST MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER CAN HANDLE IT.
There's a lot of FOG in it.

Pretty cool game, way too many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashes though. Wouldn't reccomend playing 40$ for this game. Unless they lower the price, don't buy it. It doesn't even work on other consoles than PC.
