I wish I could recommend it, but I struggle to. Some great highs and some of the most terrible lows I have ever felt in an online game. The skill ceiling is sky high, the community is a colossal bunch of whiny dorks, the developer seem to not know the first thing about how to manage the cheating situation and the storefronts are greedy kind of beyond belief. Hope you like 20 dollar recolored skins. Lots of those.

Apex is a great game trapped in a dirtbag game owned by a company that seems to be wildly uncaring about the mental health of the players. There isn't a shooter out there that feels this good, so you're forever chasing the dragon of that Good Apex Experience while bushwhacking through some of the most brutal beatings you have ever received, often with ultra toxic teammates.

I feel anxiety and trepidation every time I start it up, and I rarely quit the game feeling better than when I started. I love it, I hate it. I can't recommend it.

Edit: 12 dollars for a Lifeline emote. 100+ dollars for some stickers, said emote, a blue gun and a skin that looks like they found it in a forgotten folder somewhere marked "nah". The greed is absolutely unhinged now. They couldnt make money off their last disastrous battle pass so they are doubling down this season, with an even worse battle pass but with prices inflated even further. EA knows no bounds. Don't reward them.
