I am so old that I once set up original Doom multiplayer on a Token Ring network entirely within DOS. So, I can easily say that Doom has been part of my life for a very long time. Doom Eternal is badass. Fighting, exploration, secrets and one hell of a soundtrack by Mick Gordon.

Been playing since it first came to early access, and have witnessed this games progression over years. I absolutely recommend playing this.

Last played February 2016. Got tired of the bugs and bored of the lack of meaningful content. When I say tired of the bugs, I mean really really sick and frustrated and annoyed by game breaking bugs. Don't even get me started on performance that they are "working on soon" for over a year. Running at 1080p resolution you still can't run a decent 60fps on a brand new GTX 1080.

Fast forward to September 2016, I get told that they released some DLC for the game. I think to myself "wow, they must have come a long way on the game since I played last." LOL NOPE. I still do my due diligence and look over what has been done these past six months or so. Not nearly enough as most of the problems are still there. I am sickened and disappointed that they are charging for DLC on an unfinished game. Upset enough to ask steam for a refund on the game. (only tried this once before on a non-working game out of 200+ games on my account)

Bad news: Steam will not refund any of the 4 copies I purchased for myself and my family.

Good news: I get to copy and paste this negative review 4 times.

Beat the single player game in Ultra Violence and I am left wanting more. In a good way. This game has far exceeded my expectations and is a shining example of how to correctly reboot a beloved original. I cannot stress enough that this is not a repeat of Doom3 and plays more like the original Doom1/Doom2.

Time to play it again and get all the secrets I missed...

Serious Fun.

Hundreds of hours in KF1, will have hundreds more in KF2. Much recommend. Very shooting.



POST RELEASE REVIEW:

I have about 170 hours in the Early Access phase of this game. I did not always agree with the nerfs/buffs being made. I did eventually take a short break from KF2 due to frustrations with all the EA changes and I came back upon its full release. I am not disappointed at all.

I love this game.

I recommend this game as much as any I have played in the past 5+ years, and I have played games muchly.

Very fun arena battles with the family. 4 controllers and a big screen

Crashes at the multiplayer menu. Known issue and no fixes. I purchased this so that my wife and I could play coop together like we had in Sniper Elite 2. Too bad Steam denied my refund request because I bought the game too long ago.

Best ARPG ever.
