A very well made game, it's very tricky to get the hang of at the beginning because of movement and combat mechanics but that can be learnt after a few tries. Four different cities that you can spawn into, each city having it's own personality. Some cities offer a more advantageous helping hand than others and some cities making it difficult to survive due to the increased density of zombie population. You can customise your own character as well as selecting a certain skill set to help aid you in your survival. You can choose your own attributes/skills to help you live too.

You must go around looting as much as you can and if you want to, build a base, fix up a car and explore the open world with plenty of places to loot. You can barricade your base to prevent zombies from attacking. As well as stockpiling all of the things you have found along the way.

Overall I really enjoy the gameplay, there's plenty of other things to include that the game offers but I want to keep it brief.

So I only have 5.4 hours on this game, I got this game mainly because my friend wanted me to play it with him an I know a lot of people who are playing this game at the moment and I've heard a lot of positive feedback surrounding the general game play of this game. So I decided to have a try for my self, it didn't take too long to install and I hopped right into a game with my friend.

-Maps & difficulties
So basically, you get different maps you can play on with different difficulties, I think there's amateur, intermediate and professional? Each difficulty, altering the game play with varying difficulties.

-Ghost types
You also get different ghost types, for example: Banshee, Oni, Yokai, Spirit, Phantom, Demon, Wraith, Shade and a few others too, they all have different ways of showing their behaviour. This will be explained later on in my review.

-Game mechanics
So if you press "J" you'll open up a journal. This is where you can note down evidence, which when if you get all three types of evidence. You'll be able to find out what ghost type it is. So you get equipment which helps you find which ghost type you're dealing with, for example a demon will have freezing temperatures, spirit box and ghost writing. So you get two ways of finding out if wherever you are has freezing temperatures. You'll start to see your breath, or you'll use this hand-held thermometer which will show the exact ambient temperature in the room. Then you get ghost writing, there's this thing called a ghost book, it basically allows the ghost to kinda communicate this way. The spirit box is this hand-held device, where you ask questions for example "Where are you?", or "How old are you?" and it'll reply, depending on what ghost type it is.

-How to play
You get four objectives, all are optional of course but if you complete them, you'll be able to get some more money. You can buy multiple tools which will help aid you in your ghost investigation. Throughout the game, your sanity levels decrease over time, it decreases even more in the darkness.

This is also when the ghost is most active too. When your sanity reaches a certain level, the ghosts activity will start to increase. Also increasing the frequency of times when the ghost is in "hunt mode", basically, when a ghost is on a hunt. You are at your most vulnerable. It searches for people within the house/building you are in and pretty much murders them. To be able to avoid the ghost, you need to crouch down low in a discrete place and make NO NOISE at all.

You can't communicate with your friends at all, or it'll hear you and track you down. This hunt mode, lasts for exactly sixty seconds. To know when the hunt starts. All of your flashlights or light sources will start flickering. You can set up cameras to also help you in your investigation. You can set them up in multiple areas to help find where the ghost is most active at.

Sometimes, you'll be able to find a bone or an ouija board. Whilst using an ouija board, this decreases your sanity, you can ask questions and it'll reply to you. You also got this camera which you can use to take pictures of paranormal events or objects. For example, taking a picture of a book that a ghost has written in. This will give you some money, if you do complete the mission. If someone has been murdered, also take a picture of that, as that will also count towards the investigation. Taking a picture of the ghost will also count towards it. if you do find a bone or an ouija board, make sure to take a picture of that as well.

I don't know if I exactly explained what the "ghost room" is yet, but usually what this is. Is you get one room where it's the most active, or a certain area of the building where it's really active. It can be in multiple rooms.

-Equipment list
EMF Meter - Basically this shows the energy created by the paranormal entity and how intense it is. When the EMF meter has reached level five, or when it has went completely to red. You can put this as evidence in your journal.

-Spirit box - this is a way to communicate with the spirit, this can also count towards evidence to help you find out what type of ghost you're dealing with

-Candle - You can use this to help find out where the ghost room is, what you do is get the lighter, equip the candle, press F to light it. Then place it down anywhere or where you suspect the ghost room is. What the ghost will sometimes do, is blow the candle out.

-Strong flashlight - It's pretty self-explanatory but basically it's a more stronger flashlight which will help you see further so you know what's coming :P

-UV light - it's basically a flashlight, but instead it's UV. You can use this UV light to find fingerprints created by the ghost. This also counts towards evidence.

-Tripod - You can attach cameras onto this and set it up somewhere in the room where you can see everything, this helps a lot, so you can actually see what's going on in the room/place where you set the camera up.

-Flashlight - Well, it just produces light

-Smudge sticks - You can use these when there's an objective saying to do so, to light these, you just need a lighter.

-Crucifix - I've actually forgotten how this works, so please let me know in the comments to help the other people.

-Parabolic dish sound thing - basically, it's this hand held sound sensor, it senses where any sound is coming from, usually from the spirit

-Motion sensor - so you usually get four motion sensors, you can set this up practically anywhere, make sure to place it somewhere low because basically what these do is show you where the ghost is. Make sure not to get confused with other people walking past it though because players can set it off too! To be able to monitor the motion sensors, in the van, above the sanity levels of each player. You'll be able to see the locations of where the motion sensors are and if they're going off or not.

-Sound sensors - to monitor these, they are on the same screen with the motion sensors, you'll be able to see a lightly coloured area of the house where this has been placed. Then I believe on the right side of this screen you'll be able to see whenever any sound has been picked up.

-Salt - You can place down salt and you'll be able to spot if the spirit has walked through it or not, helping you find out where the ghost room is.

-Ghost book - I've already explained it but basically if you place it down, the spirit will write down in it, this counts as evidence so make sure to write it down.

To be honest, I've covered practically the important equipment you can use in the game. Either way, I hope you enjoy your ghost hunting!

This wonderful VR Mil-Sim game is perfect for those who love military simulation games and best of all living it for yourself in your VR. This game is perfect, you can either mess around with a group of friends. Play seriously and tactically with a group of friends in Multiplayer or play cooperatively and hunt down AI Terrorists. There are many game difficulties you can play in Co-OP for example; Rookie, Veteran and Elite. Easiest difficulty is Rookie and the hardest is Elite. All together I have 34 hours playing this game. The first 2 hours is hard to get used to however over time if you practice and take the game seriously you will improve a lot and you'll enjoy the game way more. I suggest going through the tutorial and going through the firing-range kill house to practice. In Multiplayer there are two teams. Volk and Marsoc. In this reality, Marsoc are the friendlies and Volk is the opposition. Normally it'll be a 5v5. Marsoc Vs. Volk. There are various gamemodes you can play in Multiplayer for e.g. Send the Uplink. You and your Marsoc buddies must go to this satellite dish and send the uplink code by getting out your Tablet and sending the uplink. On the other hand Volk must prevent that from happening by killing the entire opposition. You keep on switching teams each round. Either way this is my review on this spectacular game. All of what I said in this review isn't all of the features within Onward. I encourage everyone to get this fun game!
