If you bought this game in 2012, however, i urge you to try and find any copy of the alpha version you can get your hands on and play it instead.

Nuclear Throne is a quintessential roguelite classic. The iconic pixel art and incredible soundtrack accelerated Vlambeer from making relatively niche itch.io games to being two of the greatest minds to grace the videogame industry.

The gameplay is breakneck and hectic, the skill ceiling is huge, and the modding scene is surprisingly active even today. The fact you can sink hundreds of hours into a game you can realistically beat in about 10 minutes is a testament to the potency of whatever digital crack they baked into this masterpiece.
