zippy to play, chaotic to understand, fun and funny to experience, and a wonder to behold

DUCK GAME is a must-play multiplayer experience that works well locally and online. Plenty of weapon and stage variety to keep it fresh, and unlockable cosmetics give you a reason to keep play. Buy a four pack and share it with your friends, and I bet you'll have a blast

When both players have stable network and adequate hardware, VF5REVO is some of the best fighting game action I've ever seen. Gameplay is quick, reactive, and very easy to grasp... but the deeper you go the more layers of nuance and depth you see. The mind races

Unfortunately, at launch we have some all-to-familiar issues of somewhat untrustworthy connection detection / matchmaking, and players online who can't run the game at a stable 60fps causing bad online experiences. The game sorely needs a benchmarking check before letting people hop online, a la Killer Instinct or more recent MKs!

The package on offer here is good, but it does come a little short when compared against the long ago VF5 Final Showdown. There aren't as many customization options for character costumes and some of the single player challenges tied into those are also lacking.

That said, the remaster treatment is overall an improvement, and the optional DLC does let you bling out your character. And the online lobby and match experience is far better than previous iterations (when it works... see above)

Overall, there's certainly room for improvement here but the price is low and the game is still very green. The core gameplay is unmatched imo, and I've had many more good experience than bad online so far so I would recommend this with the above mentioned caveats.

Good game, bad PC port. This PC port has non-functional anti aliasing (as in it just doesn’t do anything) and frame drops/stuttering when you first engage in combat in an area. Both of these combined really take me out of the experience and there’s been absolutely no word off a patch. The game itself is actually quite good but I just couldn’t recommend the PC version. Very disappointing
