This game honestly makes you feel like Guts from Berserk, the store page does not do it enough justice. It's super simple and has a handful of elements that it reuses but that's the beauty of it, one of the best indie games I've played

For anyone whose already familiar with the Souls series and genuinely enjoyed the first two games, this is just more of those. It's incredibly fun, theres still a fairly large playerbase ready to help (or murder) you, and it's really just such a great game.

I do appreciate this one a lot more than DS2 simply because the classic strategy of hiding behind a shield an attacking once the enemy stops isn't really an option anymore, they've evolved most of the foes so that now their attacks are more than just 1 or 2 hits or there will be more than one way to get damage done past your shielding.

With that being said, if you're brand new to the series, this isn't a bad place to start from, the game certainly carries with it all the familiar tones of the previous games and you're honestly not missing out playing them in any particular order.

Take this review with a grain of salt. This is really more of my own general reflection of the game and what's wrong with it. But for anyone too lazy to read.

TL;DR : Very fun when the matches are fair, Incredibly frustrating everywhere else. This game has a lot of problems but I would still recommend it because it's still great at it's core. It's one of the first games to get the 1-vs-4 formula right albeit with some significant flaws. It's incredible with friends and can really induce some of the longest bouts of adrenaline. You have to be willing to put in the time.

-Bloodpoints: this is the main form of currency in the game, the amount of bloodpoints you get per game depends on how well you played. This is both a good and bad thing. If you end up getting camped by the killer and do nothing the whole game, you earn almost no points. On the other hand, playing incredbly well grants you with a fair amount of BP for that round. You can earn BP from quests too, which helps a little. With that being said, the game is very stingy with blood points, a lot of people will claim that I just don't play enough, but the amount of time spent trying to get ONE character to full level with top perks is ridiculous. I don't have time to play this game 2-3 hours a day to get the necessary perks/items to make things an even playing field. "Why do you even play then?" I would hear some of you murmur. It's because the game is genuinely fun at it's core and it's very unfun when the skill disparity doesn't come from how good someone is actually playing but rather how good their builds are.

-Matchmaking: This coincides with the bloodpoints dilemna. It happens very often that survivors and killers will be greatly varied in terms of skill. A survivor with 500+ hrs. can get paired up with someone who only just started the game. It sort of makes ranks meaningless up to a certain point since mismatching happens often enough that it's an issue.

-Balance: This is the crux of the issue with the game, and indubitably the fact remains that 4 decent survivors will beat a great killer. Playing killer is one of the most stressful experiences in the game for me and the community can become incredibly toxic towards newer killers. I can't just Git Gud when learning how to play feels like trying to run uphill with two iron balls attached to each leg. I feel like s*** everytime I play killer because my Lv.5 trapper can't beat people with sprintbursts and others who abuse pallet looping, obviously survivors need to have a chance to win too but far too often this can turn people off from playing killer. Maybe it wouldn't feel so bad if there was more opportunity between survivors and killer . The worst kind of match will be one where you play against a group of 4 friends who just gen rush the whole game and immediately know you're every move.

-Community: The most discussed aspect of the game, and for good reason. This game has one of the most toxic communities on hand. Constant harrasement from others whether it's in game with teabagging and meaningless gestures or the post-game chat with incredibly thought out insults like "trash". Granted toxicity will exist in every online multiplayer game, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it strong in this one.

That's really all I have to say, what's going to impress me the most are the people who've invested massive amounts of time into this game who'll come out to debate this review with weak arguments like a lack of time investment. I put real time into learning this game, of course I probably won't master it in 33 hours it's just the initial learning experience isn't pleasant. My favorite comment that I've read "People will find anything to complain about lol", well yes certain people will find anything to complain about, but that doesn't matter here. The game has big f***ing issues that make it really hard to enjoy sometimes, I don't really think it's fair to silence those issues. If you can learn to just have fun without being bothered by it's massive issues I say give it a shot.

CS:GO Review
As barebones as shooters get. Anyone whose played this might think that statement is an exaggeration but really when you break down the gameplay, its as simple as things get. Two teams of 5 (Terrorists vs Counter-Terrorists) will play each other in 2 minute rounds. Goal of Terrorists is to plant the bomb, CT (counterterrorists) have to stop them.

With the synopsis out of the way, I can wholeheartedly say that I do not recommend this game to anyone who doesn't like extreme tedium. I'm incredibly dissapointed with the reviews since everyone loves to meme but don't like to actually put any effort into writing somethig cohesive.

But I digress, the game does many things incredibly well. For one thing the gunplay feels very good and it really emphasizes strategy over anything else. You can't just run and gun, at a certain point the strategy becomes completely ineffective. Patience and thinking thoroughly is rewarded, and one of my favorite aspects is how much emphasis they put on sound awareness and silouette recognition.

With all that being said, this game isn't bad, but it doesn't have enough variety. Then again, it's pretty cheap and often goes on sale. So to anyone looking for a fairly polished shooter with little variation in terms of gameplay by all means get ahead.

This game is a MOBA in its purest form, it takes out all of the boring components of other more popular MOBAs and gives you all the tools straight away to get better. It's incredibly easy to pick up if, like me, you wasted time on other garbage FTP games. Matches are incredibly short and only have one objective, kill everyone whose not your teammate. But they're meaningful because individual skill is such a huge part of the game.

Everyone has a chance to shine and there are immediate distinctions in skill between someone who's played for a long time and someone just starting. Luck has almost zero influence here. With that being said the game does suffer from some major flaws.

Some of champions in the game feel samey and some are objectively stronger than others. The more you climb the ladder, the more you'll find yourself to be playing champions who are S-Tier rather than champions who you actually like. But like I said before, individual skill is a huge part of the game, so you can overcome that barricade.

I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking to get away from the vanilla MOBA formula or is just looknig for something that you can play in bite-size chunks and still leave satisfied.
