This game picked up six awards, including GOTY, and man, does it deserve it. Baldur's Gate 3 is an example of what good gaming SHOULD be. It's not always the most polished experience, but there is no doubt that the team at Larian gave it their all and then some. From the start of the game, I was captivated by an intriguing story and interesting, likable characters. The gameplay was excellent, effectively and coherently translating mechanics from D&D onto the screen and even making some improvements along the way. Graphically, it is a gorgeous game, and you'll find yourself taking in the scenery from time to time.

Regarding negatives, I have occasionally encountered bugs that cause me to reload a previous save to remedy them. However, I have it on good authority that Larian has continued to work hard to squash the bugs into oblivion (I'm looking at you, Bethesda). The other main gripe I have is that there ISN'T ANY CONTENT FROM THE OTHER SOURCE BOOKS (Seriously WOTC, I would pay you for the privilege of letting Larian do that. I guess it's on the modders now).

Overall, if you're wondering if you should purchase this game- YES... the answer is YES.
If you enjoy RPGs in general, you'll feel right at home here. There are so many choices that it'll take many many playthroughs to see them all. Plus, there's an adorable owlbear cub; need I say more?

While overall a relatively enjoyable game there are a few things that hold it back in my opinion from being something I can recommend to everyone. First off, the movement isn't all that great. While being light on your feet is usually great for an FPS Half-Life's movement can feel slippery in many sections, it doesn't help that you don't walk by default and instead have to press a key to move slower. It can and will get in the way of some platforming sections, although in combat it is useful. The next thing that disappointed me was the intelligence of enemies. It something I have often seen debated but at least during my playthrough the enemies weren't too smart, in fact I had more difficulty with the combine in hl2 than I did with the HECU here. The gun play was decent, and each weapon is unique, although some are better than others. The environments are pretty good, except for... that place.. and although most of the story takes place in the underground of the Black Mesa facility, it still manages to switch things up. My last and biggest complaint is Xen (shocking I know). That last section is a blemish on valves nearly flawless record, its clear that it was rushed when compared to other areas in the game and I don't know anyone who looks forward to that section. It's a chore to get through, the environments are bland, the platforming is not enjoyable, it seems that all of valve's level design prowess got thrown out the window, and by the time you get to the Nihilanth your experience has been soured. For some reason it just seems to drag on and on even though its relatively short. Other than that, the story was good, and despite those issues the overall gameplay was enjoyable, I just feel that the elements I mentioned above hold it back from being as good as it could be. Half-Life's effect on the FPS genre cannot be overstated, and despite my feelings towards some aspects of the game I think if you are willing to look past those issues, you should give it a try.

TL;DR Enjoyed the game, wish Valve had taken more time to polish certain aspects. Would recommend to Valve fans and people planning on playing hl2, wouldn't recommend for people to play as a 1 off.

What can I say, its a bit of bonus content that never made it into the game. It has some cool stuff, nothing ground breaking and as you can see from my playtime about a 15 minute experience.

Average session of Barotrauma: You start out with all your mates, feeling safe and content, exited for a new journey. Go investigate some odd readings your mission says. Ok, doesn't seem too dangerous. You dawn your clown suit and go to terrorize your crew with a bike horn until a swam of angry minnows attacks your sub. After fending them off with your deck guns and repairing the damage you arrive at the site. Since you've picked engineer you stay on the sub to manage the reactor, watch the sonar, check the guns and perform general maintenance. While your crew is gone something attacks them. They come back and while you try to enforce quarantine they brush it off as nothing. Queue a tentacle erupting from one of your cremates throats as they lurch towards you. You gun them down thinking that to be the end of it. But nooooo a giant screw off Xenomorph that another crew member had been hatching from an egg charges through the door and kills you. You watch helplessly as the rest of the crew fights to keep the menace down. You respawn in a small rescue shuttle and make your way back to the ship. As you dock both ships are enveloped in a nuclear fireball because you were the only engineer and no one else decided to check on the reactor. You all laugh, you all cry, you all promise that you wont make the same mistakes next time. If that sounds like fun to you, then you're a masochist, but also you might like this game.

This might just be one of the best deals in gaming, you essentially get 2 AAA games; the original Left 4 Dead campaign, the Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, and a bunch of multiplayer modes all for 10 bucks. That's not half bad. Oh and did I mention you can play both campaigns in Co-op or single player? Both campaigns have an insane amount of replay ability, due to the AI director slightly adjusting things in the maps depending on how well or poorly you are doing. In my opinion probably the best co-op zombie game, if you're one of those people who has friends. Either way check it out.

Half life 2 ep 2 is great in almost all aspects, it improved on the formula of half life 2 and ep 1, it was a complete blast, the only complaints I have is that it wasn’t longer (it’s episodic so that makes sense) and that pesky gnome, I got half way through the vehicle section before I desided to throw that hideous thing into the woods never to be seen again.

TLDR the game is good, you should play it.

Though it’s arguably the weakest of the episodes it’s still Half-Life, you should get it if you enjoyed HL2.

Still a great game, even all these years later. Finely tuned game mechanics, intriguing story, and fun puzzles. If you enjoyed Portal, but wanted more of a full length game then you're in luck! While there is less of an eerie atmosphere, especially compared to the first game, the number of distinct environments dwarfs that of the first game.
