In my opinion, I would say that this is definitely the best game out there for formula one simulation and no other game comes close but it is not without its faults.

Starting off with singleplayer, the most frustrating thing is trying top nail the difficulty and I feel like there needs to be some sort of benchmarking mode where you complete a few laps or a race and the game gives you a difficulty that you should use. The main problems that i am having with this is that the difficulty that I play at makes it way too difficult to complete practice programs successfully but I end up doing a lot better in qualifying. Furthermore, in the race, I end up doing a lot better than I should in the car that i am in. It just makes no sense at all and is not at all realistic. This overall leads to a very annoying experience. I love formula one as a sport but I feel that this game is too flawed for me to have any fun in.

Now onto the online mode. I personally only play ranked as it has the fewest dirty drivers however in every lobby I go into there are always drivers that either are not very good at the game or drivers that are just straight up dirty and try to ruin your race. This leads to a very annoying experience that is made very hard to enjoy. I am unsure of how this can be improved but something needs to be done.

In conclusion, this game is very flawed and I find it very hard to enjoy. I would not recommend it for anyone wanting to play the game seriously at all. As far as new players go, codemasters have made it quite easy for you to pick up the game and play but the difficulty system will be vary annoying and it will be hard to find a difficulty that suits you at all. Would not recommend!
