Many believe this game was supposed to be like doom eternal. They are incredibly mistaken, this game was supposed to be it's own thing and it succeeded. At one point I believed that this wasn't gonna be as good as doom eternal. I believed this because the game was slow, heavy, and kinda braindead. This changed DRASTICALLY when I kept playing onward. I had to think, strategize, and pray I don't get killed because the amount of projectiles that are thrown in this game is crazy. At least thats what I thought, until I replayed the game. I moved the modifiers around to make the game more challenging and boy did I succeed. My greatest example of this drastic change is when I fought against the Komodo for the first time again. Except this time it felt like I was playing SEKIRO: Shadows die twice because the amount of PARRYING and CRYING I had was immense, this guy made it feel impossible to continue forward.

The story is awesome to people who keep up with the lore, I especially like what they've done with the sentinels. I won't spoil anything; however, I will say that this game's twists and visuals within the story are great, not PERFECT, but great for a FPS with a character that is 99% of the time silent.

Graphics: Good christ are they a handful, it took a lot of time to configure the game to make it look nice enough to where it was playable. Luckily for me no matter what graphics I have (stretching that statement a little bit) doom the dark ages always maintained a good 60 fps. So if you want those trailer like graphics, don't expect too much until they update this game again. (Btw HDR is currently BROKEN)

Bugs: I experienced only two bugs, and those are my last two achievements to gain in order to 100% this game. Otherwise than that, I have experienced no crashes or bugs. Whenever I died it felt like my fault, or the demon was too OP. I know some people keep crashing playing this game, and while some of it is Bethesda's fault. There is also some blame on these people as well. AMD wasn't entirely in mind for doom the dark ages as they focused mainly on NVIDIA cards, thus resulting in consistent crashes for some. This can be accompanied too: not so powerful cards, or outdated (or broken) drivers. This game is clearly ram heavy.
If you need to see what the requirements are for either cards. Bethesda has a list online on what is needed in huge detail.

Overall: It's an awesome game, the secrets were by far my favorite part of the game because the way to get the secrets was always through some sort of puzzle. I've been playing the modern doom games for nearly 10 years now and the secrets for Doom: The dark ages are by far the funnest to do. Before I beat the game I had a 90%+ completion on all levels. Definitely worth my 100$, although if they weren't out of collectors bundles I would have put 250$, and I would still be saying it was worth it. Hopefully this helps!!!!

This game is insanely fun. But my only problem with it is that its just a little to easy and you cant play everything up from violent currently. I was able to beat this game in under 3 hours will some breaks included. So you already know that it isnt that long to beat. Eventually they will add more levels which is cool but for now you have to use the cybergrind if you want to keep playing the game. Also theres secrets I have no idea what they do besides that some make you more powerful and the others help you to unlock to defeat the secret boss which my favorite youtuber oyff was able to beat it in one life. In the description he explained that he almost pissed himself so i advice getting good at aiming before you play this game.

The basis of the game is really good, But the animations for some of the weapons and picking up objects arent that well done, Also you cant suck out the venom from others in mulitplayer which makes me sad

Heres why I love this game and why you should play it. 1. It gets better the more you play because you can activily notice your getting better at said game, Also once you get pretty good at this game your aim has improved which is able to go to other games (Like rainbow six siege, Cs:Go etc etc.) 2. The story of Doom eternal is actually pretty exciting. You could either read the codex's or watch some big youtuber explain the storyline of the entire doom franchise. 3. In the base game there is a ton of collectitables some with music which your able to listen to and the others toys which you can admire in doomguys big gaming room Also theres collectibles which happily give you boosts and make you stronger and stuff. 4. The dlcs are amazing you can never get bored on them, Also master levels which are harder but funner as well. 5. There is constantly an event going in doom eternal which your able to to get skins or stances or even pedastools. 6. You can mod this game. Yes I said it mod. 7. Also who doesnt want to rip demons spines out of there body?

Gatta say when I first played this I thought it was the actual game but then playing realized it wasnt but its a really fun game where you have to fight to survive and cooperate in order to win. Its really fun and the people you meet on there are amazing
