Background:
I originally followed VRChat in 2017, watching videos on YouTube of people playing with their friends, talking to others, and doing crazy/funny stuff with their own custom avatars, it reminded me a lot of Little Big Planet 2 on PlayStation 3. I have always wanted to play VRChat ever since I laid my eyes on it, however at the time I was on PlayStation 4 and had a terrible laptop for school. This all changed when I built my PC in late December of 2021, I eventually got around to playing VRChat on May 8th 2022 ~10 PM, however I was on desktop mode at the time.

Desktop, VR, & FBT:
I will come out and say it, the game being FREE and having desktop mode does make the game accessible to everyone with a good enough PC to run this community unoptimized game, however it is very lackluster in the thing that makes VRChat amazing, VR.

I played desktop mode VRChat for ~300 hours and finally getting VR was just mind blowing with this game, instead of walking into a building on desktop and going "wow this place is small" and/or "there is nothing much to do here." With VR it went "WOAH THIS PLACE IS HUGE!" and "I have hands!" Talking to people also simulated real people since everything is so big, close to you it all looks as "real" as VR can get, AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY TOUCH AND INTERACT WITH OTHERS.

I still have not invested into FBT yet, reason being is, since I sometimes wear my VR headset for many hours or even days, having FBT would mean I would have to charge them all the time while playing, having them strapped to your body AND having a battery pack for each tracker is TOO BULKY AND A PAIN IN MY OPINION! However, I am watching very closely at Sony's Mocopi.

Everything VRChat did for my life:
Thanks to VRChat I am now finally able to talk to people, I am no longer shy, anxiety stricken, and uncomfortable when talking to people IRL, it also made me a much kinder, sweeter, and understanding person.

I have met some very amazing people in my time playing this game and I can safely say that these are some of the closest friends I have ever made compared to anywhere else. Thank you: Giz, Swiss, and Clay for being such amazing, sweet, loving, kind, and caring friends, when no one else would, I REALLY DO APPRECIATE AND LOVE YOU ALL!!! I met a special someone thanks to this game as well, and that is my sweetheart Len, I love you so much my sweet and loving snuggle bun!

Conclusion (TL;DR):
This game has helped me out a lot in life, and SERIOUSLY has helped me get my life together, between: taking care of my health, and hygiene, to loosing weight, landing a job, finding amazing friends, and even my amazing lover. VRChat will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS GAME OUT!!!
