Single player is amazing. Online is meh.

This is one of my favorite games of 2019. Amazing art and soundscape that give it a really unique post apocalyptic feel.

I mostly heard ahead of launch that Overland played like an x-com game, but actually, it plays more like chess. Think hard about the decisions you will make, understand the possibility space of everything on the map and then feel amazing when it all plays out.

I did have some issues with UI, but they seemed to have updated to sort a lot of that, so the only major complaint I had was discoverability when it came to new creeps and their behaviors. For some of the later ones that got introduced, I spent a few maps completely unaware of the consequences of their behavior only to realize they were kind of innocuous or extremely deadly.

Excellent couch co-op, and a ton of maps! (40+). Also, has an amazing soundtrack.
