Early Access Review
Did I buy this game at a 50$ price tag? Yes, Yes I did. Now let's be honest 50$ for an early access title is complete garbage. No one should be paying that kind of money for an unpolished turd of a game. The state this title is in is worth, IMO, 15$ for EA at this time of writing. I'm not disagreeing with anyone that was jumped on the "oh it was delayed it should be better" or the "they promised more on launch" train. I personally was one of the No Man's Sky preorder persons. I've felt the burn I know all about it, now look at that game. Shining example that in time things get better. So I don't think the game is doomed.

Now you're asking if I think this title is an unpolished turd then why did you buy it for 50$? Because i'm willing to support the processes that will make this game a full released title in the end. It is no different then becoming a backer for a kickstarter. A lot of people are failing to understand they don't have to spend the money to buy this. You're not entitled to decide the cost. You or myself have nothing to do with the developers or publisher. You can spend your time bashing and writing hate about all the things that you dislike with this all you want. Don't buy it and that speaks more volumes than you having a pity party in the steam discussions. It's real simple. Money Talks.

Now let's get to the game.
Visually I think the game looks awesome. The new UI Tweaks are kind of meh but I understand they're trying to simplify the process for people and I'm on board with it. A lot of astrophysicist entering the field today can owe their entry knowledge to KSP1 so why not make it easier for people to get interested in KSP2?

I encountered a few visual glitches mainly entering and exiting the VAB to Launchpad caused some weird purple blocking effect that went away after things settled. I had frame drops launching from the pad up until about 1k meters up. I should note my specs aren't top of the line. I'm playing on a laptop with a 3080 in it hooked up to a ultrawide via displayport. Most of the time my frames were solid all the way into space. It wasn't until i encountered some wobbling in my craft that i started to see some FPS drops.

Soundtrack as always is stellar. I didn't really encounter any audio bugs in the 2 hours I have logged.

Gameplay
Everyone is complaining there are parts missing or things changed this things changed that KSP1 has more KSP1 has that. Honestly I didn't care. For the parts that exist in this game to make craft you can do just enough. I remember KSP1 lifecycle. It'll get there. They'll tweak things here and there and giving the feedback of genuine EA understanding people it will polish out. Trust the process. There isn't money at this state, there are no missions, it's pretty much the same state ksp1 was before the campaign. It's creative mode. Enjoy it.

There are a lot of bugs i've seen mainly with fuel transfers and calculations but it's all been noted as far as i can tell and will be fixed. it's early access.

Overall the game can't be recommended to the general public because they don't understand Early Access. Fans should buy for sure and support the process. If you want a finished product go buy KSP1.
I don't support the model of "lets not internally test our game, lets just dump it into EA and have them test it for us," but i'm fully aware of what i'm purchasing here and given the state of pricing of games to 70$ lately i'm pretty sure KSP2 as a full released product later in time is going to be shooting that price range, so i'll take it at 50$ for that reason too. Or you can wait for a sale. Whatever floats your boat.

Let's start by saying that I don't normally review or write anything about the games that I purchase on Steam.

I was very very very hesitant in purchasing this game considering my experience with the first game. I would be considered an impulsive buyer in any other situation but with this game, it took me days to decide if I wanted to purchase this game. I only read a few of the exisiting reviews just to see what the feeling was like but I mostly just paid attention to the "Overall Rating" value this game had been listed as.

I finally decided to grab it while it was on sale and let me just say this game is a breath of fresh air. It is nothing like the release of the first chapter in the game. The game started up and I prepared for the micro stutters that the first game was released with but I did not have any. I'm terrible at being stealthy in games and so it took me a moment to warm up to the playstyle again. Everything was going smooth. They really have released a well working and visually appealing game.

The multiplayer is lacking the free roam aspect that comparable titles have, it isnt a huge drawback but it definitely is holding back the multiplayer experience. While doing the single player experience sometimes you are forced into the multiplayer instancing missions, not a huge big deal since you can just continue on your path but sometimes you'll get the ones where you'll have to kill the target and that target sometimes kills you instead while you're trying to solo play. Not a huge drawback since you can just quit and stop the multiplayer instancing. Can be annoying to the unsuspecting person.

I actually started to get invested into the single play experience with doing the Dedsec missions and also just some of the other quirks like taking the pictures for the random areas on the map. The inner city experience is great, detail is definitely there. The vehicles are well performed but still have some of that "arcade" feel in turning and acceleration. There could be a better variety of vehicles in my opinion but the selection is by no means limiting. The map size is a little underwelming and I was a tad dissapointed that when you reach the edge you'll find the "you are leaving the area" thing that developers do and it times you back into the playable area, not sure how else that could have been handled. I really feel like the map could have overall been a lot larger and would hope to see new areas introduced at a later time by way of DLC.

There are some stunt jump situations around but no real reward to doing them, wheelie-ing down the street does not provide any kind of achievement for longest distance.

I am definitely satisified with this release and I will definitely be finishing the game.

Pros:
Game works in comparison to the original title.
Visually appealing
A Complete Game; This isn't one of those games that a publisher releases and expects the community to complete the game via Mods and DLC. This game is full featured and and full story.
Voice acting is great
Comical
Hacking.
At my time of writing this review, bug free gameplay. I found absolutely no game breaking glitches or bugs in my 10 hours of gameplay so far.

Cons:
Auto-Detected my video as low for everything. GeForce Experience loaded a optimal profile after my first run of the game and it set me at the perfect settings.
No Free Roam multiplayer; This isn't a huge bust but I would like to see it introduced into the game at a later date.
Small Map
Cars drive arcadey
Limited selection of vehicles
Not much stunting going on.
