Early Access Review
Strong early access title, although I wish they'd make their building mechanics a bit less gimmicky.

I can't remember the last time I got so overwhelmingly invested in a RPG. Bravo.

Pretty hard when you're new to soulslikes, but 100% worth overcoming.

One of the few things keeping me from going insane during the lockdown. Also: Worth the wait.

Love the game. It has a super addicting learning curve with an impossibly high skill ceiling, which is enough to keep me going for hours on end.

GameMaker: Studio is a nice tool to learn how to program, do some quick prototyping for larger projects, or just to play around with. In order to make some decent comercial-quality games you'll need some experience, but isn't that the case with everything? Sure, there still are some bugs you may have to work around, but with every patch they fix some of those. Game Maker's proven itself with games like the original Spelunky, Hotline Miami, Gunpoint, ... I don't think I have to go on.

The fact that you can export to a lot of different devices/operating systems from a single codebase (different configurations for different devices are stored in-project) is quite an amazing feature, and easens the burden of developing for multiple target platforms.

I definately believe GameMaker: Studio is worth checking out, whether you know what you're doing or not.

PS: I do recommend you don't get the steam version, and get a license from yoyogames.com instead, as you'll get a steam key AND a non-steam version of the product.
