I've spent majority of the free weekend (I didn't play all of it, mind you, only the last two days more or less) felling trees, hunting and gathering herbs, got to level 34 doing mostly just that. It's sort of meditative.
The combat system is, uh... it's there. The world looks wonderful, cozy.
Game is worth getting if you have a proclivity for gathering and hoarding stuff at the very least, dunno about the rest of it.
I would've bought it if I could, but they literally wouldn't take my money because I was unfortunate enough to live in Russia.
Not sure how robbing the sane few Russians of their escapism would help to change Putin's mind or topple authoritarian police state, but oh well.
