Jessee, thank you for creating this awesome thing. It's so inspiring ...
I really enjoyed Distraint.

It has a meaningful story that is executed phenomenally.
It has a great ending, it gave me goosebumps, was not expected and it was icing on the cake.
Sooo good.

Art direction was something that I also enjoyed a lot, but the feeling, emotion, in general everything
this game has to offer was so great to me.

Even the puzzles, they are kinda similar in general but they are so fresh from level to level ...
That shrooms level was also amazing.

The only thing that bothered me just a tiny bit was the size of the lantern and the look of it.

I would like to play more of your work !

You should get this game if you :
- love trucking games
- love developers that put a lot of effort and listen to the community
- expect hundreeds of hours of gameplay content before getting bored (which happens only if you are not driven by driving but rather progress)
- expect a lot of mods from dev community
- want a good bang for your bucks, this game offers so much more content for what it asks in term of price.

Issues that bother me personally but should not affect purchasing in general (as in, once you put 200 hours they become annoying but you wont notice them before that mark ) :
- You will actually need really good GPU if you want to get this to work on 60 FPS at maxed out settings and look nice
- Optimizations are not that great
- Extremely annoying AA issues, rendering in the distance without good scaling just looks awful and kills the joy
- Really annoying interface prevents fast usage of basic tasks, such as switching trucks, traveling to garages, switching drivers etc.
- Companies have no use except to annoy you and let you teleport, plus once you get few of them that work good, you lose all the will to progress, because you will have so much money that you do nothing with ...
- If you have a really old save, quick saving takes minutes ...

Anyway, if you do get bored in single player, you can always use Multiplayer mod which is fast with updates to ensure that you will play with your friends on latest patch ASAP.

Multiplayer is really fun but AI is incredibly good, so if you want to play alone go for it.

There are really amazing areas and so so much features.
ETS 2 is really worth the money, the content, the mechanics, all the trucks ... just amazing.

So while this game has some annoying quirks, it's actually amazing and all the good that it is makes the bad look silly.
That's why I nominated ETS 2 for Steam Autumn Reward "Test of Time". As it appears, there is no end of this trucking "adventure" in sight, and especially now that ATS got released and both games get semi-equal updates.

We're in for a long ride my friends, join us and keep trucking.

This game is compilation of worst design choices in video games history.

Some of the issues :
- Logo intro lasts so long and you can't skip it, it makes no sense and it is annoying
- All over the game there are font colors that blend in with background,
- Introduction to the first mission also lasts forever and it looks really, really bad - you guessed it, can't be skipped
- Font is so hard to read that I had to re-read "Antialias" 5 times before I realized what the option was for ...
Because at first sight it looks like Antiauas
- Gameplay also has design flaws, models that can kill you look silly and you will often end up with "Game Over" screen, not even realizing what killed you. No FX feedback in good form to warn you, deBuffs last forever ...
- Stock Unity UI look, sliders etc. In this case it does not affect overall experience but I always cringe when I see stock grass, stock UI, stock trees etc. If you are making a game, at least invest 10 minutes to create some simple UI skin, it's not even that hard.

I don't know man, It's one of those games that you can't really play to finish the first level, due to so much annoying things. On the plus side, if we ignore cards and price in bundle, game has kinda nice bullet looks.

I think that it's not that hard to fix it though, so hopefully devs might overhaul whole game and create something enjoyable in the future. Unlike most other games this at least looks like somewhat finished product, with some rework and overhaul, listening to all this bad feedback, it can get fixed.

Not much positive can be said about this game.
It has, kinda, cute art, but I'm quite sure I've seen many games using similar art, if not maybe same char.

Anyway, bad :
- You are greeted by extreme loading time when you start playing
- Levels utilize poor design - you can get damaged once and rush to the exit
- Coins have no real purpose, besides to update ugly label that represents the score
- Game lasts about 10 minutes, if even that long,
- Controlls feel weird, esp. when you jump, really easy to get hitbox triggered even if you are not close to the enemy.

It's a shame.
This game has a decent style to it and a lot of assets,
which look okay IMO. However, horrible controls,
technical issues and awful menus make it unplayable.

If you scroll over my avatar, you might see that I'm playing this game right now.
I'm not, it's stuck, or well - one of the THREE processes, used by title, is stuck in background, even after I quit the game.

When you start the game you will be greeted by something that should represent interactive menu.
However, this menu is so bad that you have to mouse-over things and take a step back, try to figure out
what button does what and then finally start to play this game. Okay, I may have overstated that one, but
it's quite close to that feeling. So many elements trying to grab your focus, hiding away important info,
blending in with background, using bad colors ... ugh.

Same thing goes for tutorial area, which is supposed to show you the controls.
It shows labels that are sometimes hard to see, due to the blending with background behind them.
Tutorial itself focuses rather on level dangers and leaves out couple of important things ...

Finally, most critical "off" in my opinion is definitely bad collision coding.
I couldn't run 5 meters without getting stuck to random objects on map.
Maps themselves are also somewhat blending too much, enough that I don't really
know will I die if I jump on something.

I feel like developer should take a step back and try to solve all the issues.
It might end up as a funny runner game, or whatever genre it claims to be.

Right now it just looks like a title that has it all, but is not polished nearly enough
to be enjoyable.

So, the gameplay consists of :
Step 1 : Spam the left mouse button for 2-6 seconds, while looking at a star
Step 2 : Watch "warp" animation for 6-7 seconds as you travel to another sector
Step 3 : You are back to step one, with exactly the same model of the planet and the environment, repeat.

One would think that eventually you will get to see some enemy forces, different model, at least texture maybe ?
But no, it's what it is.

As a person who messes around on amateur level in game dev, I can say that this doesn't take 30 minutes to set up in Unity. It's really sad to see such products on Steam, not even in Early Access if I'm not mistaken ?
How come someone decides to let this thing "go" on the store, even with price tag of 0.99 ?

The gameplay time is from farming the trading cards, just like about 80 other games that I've purchased through bundles on Steam during summer sale. Real playtime is not even 15 minutes. Not because I didn't want to give this game a chance, but because I saw complete game in first 3 "warps".

With that being said, I can't help but agree that I have feeling that Digital Homicide is going after "The worst games" title, which is already applied to their name by various players.

I finally got the chance to buy it and finish it.
I played it as a kid and I loved it!

Not much has changed now, many years later.
It's still unique to me, it's still amazing, you have to be talented to create something like that, to imagine something like those worlds and to make that idea work out perfect.

I really want to see Psychonauts 2. I really, really do, so many years later this amazing game deserves matching sequel, I could only imagine that it would be so much better and so popular in sea of copy paste games that are surrounding us today.

However if you are completely new, you should know that Psychonauts is one of those games that you should play because they are so unique and amazing in many ways. Just the game quallity is over the top for period it was released in, you can see on almost everything that hours of hard work and passion were put in it, to look amazing.

So many puzzles, worlds, interesting stories, so many unique things and possibilities, things to see and things to do.

I loved every segment of those, just like I did before...

Co-Op game that has interesting mechanic - One of the players play as a boy in 3D environment, other player plays as his shadow, in 2D environment. Both must work together to overcome problems for each boy.

It seemed a bit "slow" at first, but generally puzzles were interesting enough to keep us playing and they weren't recycled way too much. There were interesting segments related to story, mini bosses etc. World puzzles are different as well depending on environment, so each new level felt refreshing and unique in some way.

Only problem for us were last boss fights, which took us at least one hour, and really hard perspective for 3D player, thanks to which he kept failing to jump at correct spot.

It lasts 3-5 hours and we played it in one go. It could use some more content or workshop support - it would be a blast to play different levels made by community.

P.S. You can get it for $1 on HB while promotion lasts.

+ Cool gameplay mechanics with 2D/3D and intereaction between those
+ Some really cool puzzles that are something new (we kept saying "Wow this game is awesome" type of puzzles)

- 3D players camera which makes it hard to jump at correct spot or even walk straight
- Last boss, even though it's simple, turns out to be really pain

I don't know if this was meant to be bad game as everyone says, or not; I just know that I was bombarded by loading screen that took ages, cites from bible, voice sounds that can't be interrupted and last forever and gameplay that was at first sight boring, that became interesting at one point and then went back to boring again in second part of the game.

I didn't enjoy this game and I can't really recommend it in any possible way. Even if it was meant to be this way I don't see any value, kids in Game Maker make better games.

It's beautiful game that has some serious annoying issues. Therefore only those who can forgive that should play it.

These are :

- When you are locked in animation Shadows can hit you. One hit = one health less. You already are limited on HP.
When you get overrun by shadows you die in seconds and often you cant help yourself even with Axe.

- You can't really hit Shadow until it comes out of "depths" of scene, which means that often you will fail to hit them but they will eventually get to your "depth" and hit you back. This is especially problem when they spawn from both of your sides.

- Some levels require sugrical precission and speed, otherwise you get killed and you have to restart checkpoint.

- There are some bugs in game too, but that's not as severe as annoyance of controls.

- For me it was also annoying to have mini game pause that lasts fraction of second each time you hit something with Axe.

Otherwise, it is beautiful art style and it looks amazing.
My time for completion was around 5.5 hours (which personally I think is not alot, considering that I had ~ 75% completion) Once you finish game you can replay any level and/or compete with others when it comes to score. You also get Nightmare Mode unlocked which is something like hardcore mode without save game.

It has other problems too but I didn't notice those that much. I didn't mind cutscenes, tho voice is a bit off IMO, or the story.

Conclusion :
It's good experience to "remember" but it's also shallow, buggy and annoying at times. I'm not sure that smoeone who doesn't like the setting or is annoyed by lacks of game would enjoy it. It depends on players I guess.
However I do recommend it because it's really interesting experience, put up with nice visuals and generally design (minus controls).
Hopefully one day we can see Deadlight 2 with all these issues fixed.
