It works fine and with no issues on modern PCs.
Negative reviews are outdated as devs have patched the game and fixed all of the mentioned issues (resolution, saving, gameplay speed).

The only thing that I can complain about are sloppy controls. It's a game where every second counts and you don't want to waste two seconds while trying to find pixel perfect spot to click on, in order to move the body away.
Using keybinds is mandatory if you want to pull off anything that requires speed. Cursor movement has slight delay.
But this is okay. It's a 20 year old game, and after all it's very playable.

Over 20 missions can easily last longer than an hour each. In my case I have 21 hour and still about 6 more missions to go.
There's no difficulty setting but rather every mission brings something new. Later on in the game there will be more patrols that count multiple soldiers. You can't easily kill them without triggering an alarm, which would spawn many more and make your life harder. So try not to :D

Missions themselves are quite interesting and, while they do share similar objectives, they don't feel repetitive.
Sometimes passing an area feels more like a puzzle that you have to solve by killing soldiers in correct order. But you're free to use all available tools to "solve" it.
This includes various way to distract soldiers, stealthly kill them and so on. You will have multiple Commandos at disposal, each having unique abilities.

If you're returning player, you pretty much know what to expect. Nothing has changed. It's good old Commandos.

If you're new player, well, consider to give it a go. It still feels unique and fresh in 2018 as it was ~10 years ago when I played it and I can only imagine how ahead of time was it when it was released, 20 years ago.

It has aged well in my opinion. It looks good, runs okay, the only issue are the controls but considering how saving in this game is common, it's a matter of mini frustration that will cost you reloading last quick save.

I do not know what it is.
I do not know where it came from.
But I know that the world needs more of it.

Very polished, very enjoyable, very weird.
I liked it and I hope that you will add more "cases" in the future :)

Voice acting, songs, dialogue; everything was enjoyable in a way.

I think that it's quite clear from the other reviews that you shouldn't buy this "game".
It's abandoned and at the current state it feels just like a concept level that was made within 30 minutes to test some walking script ...

You gain control over a character and you get spawned in a Castle.
You can move around.

That's it.
The only achievement this game has is apparently bugged.

Shame. I find the art style very interesting.

I guess I'm one of those 62% that were kind of OK with the game.
I don't recall my previous experiences with Lost Planet games (played at least one of them when it was released, ages ago) so I can't compare it to them. Maybe that's the reason for "Yes" but it's more like "Okay enough to get 'Yes'"

However, the game itself :
I liked :
- Really nice views - Damn, I want more games with views that leave you breathless
- Main story was not as bad as I expected due to other complaints
- Some enemy design is great, as well as their AI

What I didn't like :
- Near the end, the experience became more of a "errand boy", with walking from point A to point B, wasting time and doing some nonsense (most of the story requires long walks though)
- Could use more upgrades, weapons got boring over time and it's not like you have a great choice when it comes to them
- I understand that it's cold - but man, I have to mention stiff faces ...
- Some enemies were boring, some boss fights were boring because they took too long or because the boss reappears "20" times, making the whole section a chore that you just wish to end ...
- Overusing the same enemies that are tough to kill in a short time span, esp. mini boss enemies which act as bullet sponges with a red dot
- BUGS - There were some game breaking bugs which were fairly annoying. From wrong instructions to horrible keybinds that don't work if you reset them, and you can't fix them.

I also have to notice the "Dead Space" similarities. From the last map through some sequences in game. The scary parts were enjoyable though, so ...

Anyway, it's kind of "meh" for me but I did enjoy it enough to give it a "Yes".
I didn't finish the side missions as I couldn't find the reason to do so. Not much depth to the tasks and I didn't care that much about them or most of their characters. I do belive that it would be some boring errand stuff again.

Did I like it? Kind of. Yeah. It was okay.
Do I recommend it? Eh, I don't know, really. Not much to it now besides the Single Player and that whole experience is ... mixed.

P.S.
It took me about 9-10 hours to finish the story.
Time span between playing through the first few hours and finishing it is probably X months.

Took me 38 hours to complete this game.
I don't regret a single minute.
10/10 Would eat pork bun again.
10/10 Would hire a cab to get me to the closest cloth shop, then steal the same cab and drive myself two blocks further, to reach my final destination again.

This was a gift from a friend ... (Thanks Daex ♥)

Games that I finish completely, including all collectibles etc. are super rare.
Mostly because it feels like a pointless chore to grind out and collect everything after the main story and side missions are done. Or they maybe feel repetitive and boring.
Not the case here.
Everything is so amazingly well done here.
From the city that breathes and lives, that feels so alive that I can enjoy every corner of it, through the really awesome story that got me caring for some characters, really enjoyable combat that is not too complex and works amazingly well on keyboard, but also provides great combos, to some bizzare and legendary DLC content that felt great. And some slight annoyances, of course, but they are nothing compared to the complete experience.

You need to collect stuff? No problem, the game will have some icons on the map for you.
You need that health upgrade? No problem, the game will focus the camera on it in one of the missions, so that you can remember and come back for it.

So much content, everywhere. I don't know, I really ... I spent almost 40 hours, including 3 days straight playing through the story, and I'm not done yet, that is -- I don't want it to be done yet. While I couldn't replay it from the start again, I would totally be down for another 20 hours of extra content. It just feels so good ... It's not boring, it's fun. Especially with all the DLC that this version brings, which unlocks some super powerfull things that are just fun to wreck chaos upon with.

And alongside all the content to enjoy your time with, the friend social hub system works great. I really had some awesome friends that scored high, so I had fun beating their scores as well.

If you haven't already, make sure to get this piece of art. You will probably like it much more than other games from the genre, because it is special in its own way.

Really nice and scary experience.
Both for the atmosphere and the story.

Graphics look great. In my book, I call that "photorealistic" style.
Achievements are quite OK as well. Even if you want to get them all.
The story had me from the start and great dark mood made sure to harden.

Even when you consider the bad things, this game takes about 30 minutes and is better than most other games from the genre. It's free, so I don't see a reason why you should not try it if it intrigues you just a bit.

At this stage (Alpha V1) it's just an Alpha.
Something that you can make in 24 hours or less with Unity, for example.
Confusing UI, really, really plain and simple clicking gameplay ...

There are some really really good clicking games out there, and this could end up being one of them maybe.
But at this point it just feels like a dev test build. Not something that you can recommend really.

There are times when you want to hug a game so hard, just like Johnny Depp does that kid in Finding Neverland, adopt it, tell it that everything will be alright and fix all the issues that are ruining it.

Sadly, this is one such game.

UI can be much much better, AI on the other hand ... AI walks near me and damages me. No attack animation, no delay, nothing. You're supposed to run from a bunch of AI units that often surround you or push you to your doom.

Looks polished, has potential, has horrible design choices regarding the main mechanics.

I got it for free but I just now noticed the price ... It's super cheap. I would say it's worth the money but then again it's almost unplayable, depending on steel quality of your nerves that is.

Fifty minutes is what it took me to finish it.
I got it for free but I would buy it because it has potential.

Okay so, the problem of this game is, or rather the two problems are:
1. It's too easy
- From start to finish this game shows no challenge. Even the slightest progression would improve the overall feeling drastically
2. There is no support for custom levels
- Even with the "too easy levels" that came with the game, user base would be able to create awesome content with this game.

In general, I liked the art, the background music ("Relaxing The Sims kind of music"), I even loved the simplicity of it. Minimalistic and yet so elegant. Menus look great too.

Gameplay is rather simple, with a couple of different objects that ball can interact with, but as I said, even with this limited toolkit, this game needed some feeling of progression. More challenges. Maybe allow us to move the interactable pieces? Make levels harder as we move on, opposed to just adding new pieces with different behaviours while keeping the same old "tweak a bit to solve" mentality.

Some 40+ levels were easier than the first few levels ...

I think that this game can be something awesome with mod support and some tweaks.

- Takes about 15 minutes to complete.
- Mix of random puzzles without much logical connections between them, or the style of the game in general
- You have to complete all puzzles in order to finish the game.
- Easy achievements, trading cards.

I got it for free but if I paid 5 EUR for it I would request refund.
Why?
- Horrible UI,
- One of the puzzles makes 0 sense and actually tells you that the solution is found on a cover of another game.
- Not even 5-10% of content that you would expect from a 5 Eur game

It was kinda Okayish for 15 minutes, considering that it was free for me, but I could never say that unless I paid < $0.5 for it, which is really the worth for this amount of content and the quality.
