Short, visually impressive "walking simulator". The premise is interesting, the delivery of the actors very good but with shifts in tone that make the characters not consistent with their current mood.
As a game, the gameplay is part extremely basic and part QTE events of completely inconsequential results.
While the story is interesting, the plot is garbage because of "horror movie logic", where the characters behave in the most unbeliveably stupid ways possible, to the point that at places you'll want to stop playing.
Example: There is a moment in the game where the protagonists knock the bad guy unconscious. They don't have anything to do, there's no urgent matter, there's no ticking bomb, so what's the most logical thing to do in this case? Restrain the bad guy? Bash his face in because is a serial killer? NOooooOOoooOOooo, let's just slowly leave, without once looking back, or checking if he's regained consciousness or if he's FOLLOWING YOU WITH A F####G AXE.
It's really a pity, because the presentation of the game is top notch.

This game is a single player FPS version of "Keep talking and nobody explodes".

What can one say about DooM? The game is fantastic. Some levels are better and some worse, but you'll have fun anyways. This 2024 version has enough content for more than 100 hours of single player, not counting downlodeable maps.
The only bad thing this new release has is that the engine has a few graphical bugs, like sprites clipping, random vertical lines and some random flickering, but nothing that demerits a great port with a ton of content.

Good game that you can finish in an hour. Some interesting ideas here and there, and a few very good gags here and there.
Also, it's one of the most elaborate ♥♥♥♥ jokes I have ever played.

Very good game, there's plenty of content for two people to play at least for 20 hours. And there's no microtransactions or other bs.

Very short game, you can easily beat it in 1 hour, but it's extremely fun.

This game has an unforgiving difficulty, no saves (except to stop playing and then continue), and permadeath.
This means that it's a very fustrating game and very hard for novices.
Then why everyone loves that game? Because it's a good game. It's complex, it's interesting, there's lots of places to explore, has various mechanics and you can specialice on several trades.
And also, there's the multiplayer. In multiplayer the experience is even better, if you play with people you know, and you group to survive together.
The modding community is big and very productive, and it's deeply embraced by the developers (in the coming 42 version you'll be able to download and install mods directly from inside the game).

If you tried this game and found it too hard, try this: create a new game and just pick the first weapon you can find and start killing zombies. Don't do anything else. Don't fear being bitten or killed. When dead, rinse and repeat. When you're confortable dealing with a small horde (10 to 15 zombies), then you can start a proper game. The rest of stuff you must learn to play won't kill you nor your drive to keep playing. So just learn to manage yourself on a horde, and you'll start really enjoying the game.

This looks like a typical dungeon crawler, but has a lot of different combat attacks and styles, spells and modifiers that make it interesting. Also, different dungeons introduce different limitations on your build to force you to aviod repeating the same stuff over and over. Upgrading and leveling up characters is fun and rewarding, and it's a game that's not too difficult to 100%. Also, has an interesting story, great humor sprinkled here and there, and a fantastic soundtrack.
Has local coop and RPT, too.
Got the game on my Humble Bundle subscription, but liked it so much that bought the DLC and the soundtrack on Steam.

Interesting puzzle-platformer. Not hard, but not too easy. I only got stuck once, and leaving the game and retaking it the following day got me the solution. A bit short (I finished it the first time in 6 hours). The graphics are simple, but well done and well animated. The music is fitting and pleasing, and the voice acting is solid. The story is what I enjoyed less about this game, but the rest of the experiece is good enough to not be afected by it. Recommended.
