It may not be perfect, but Metro is definitely one of the best stealth shooter I've played. The post-apocolyptic environment and atmosphere is strangely haunting and yet beautiful. You really felt a genuine sense of forboding and desperation, more so at the hardest difficulties where resources are especially scarce. The stealth route for missions is fairly difficult but part of the very rewarding experience. The AI, when put to the test in an all-out firefight, doesn't perform well and has some big problems, but considering that this game is meant to be played covertly, you shouldn't be getting into too many firefights so I find that this can be overlooked. All in all, I found Metro to be a spectacular game and recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging stealth game.
