A lot of time has passed since my original review. Yet, I feel as though my positives only continue to grow. The developer continues to update this game frequently with new NPCs, items, enemies, aesthetics and more. I always tell people this is "Australian Animal Crossing" and it perfectly nails that. The game is very enjoyable, You can play at your own pace or rush in and try to complete the towers around the map and get the best tools and items. The game also features a modding community, albeit small. They recently collaborated with the developers of Go-Go Town! I hope to see more of this in the future.

With 24 hours under my belt, I can say I've only scratched the surface with Dinkum. As many others are pointing out, the game feels like this solo developer's take on Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing with an Australian twist - something I appreciate as a fellow Aussie. The game has been receiving numerous updates to fix bugs and add additional features. As this game continues to grow, I expect the community to continue on the same path. Hunt down animals, chop trees, mine minerals, make friends, wear clothes, farm, find or hunt for treasure and explore. There is a lot to love about the game with very little issues I've found thus far. The game also supports multiplayer, though do play with caution as other players can take loot in your games as you would expect. So far, I've played solo personally but only heard good things about multiplayer. Look forward to the future of this game.
