This entry in the payday series has changed a bunch of the rules of the game. Mostly this is fine, though annoying to have to relearn everything. I do love that they have put more emphasis on stealth mechanics so that it isn't as punishing if you screw up a little during a stealth mission.

HOWEVER, there is a huge issue with this game. It is always online. Even if I want to play solo I am forced to be connected to their servers and use their matchmaking (which takes time before it lets you into a solo lobby). Even then, while playing if I lose network or their servers go down my game is done. This is horrible. While this is the case I really can't suggest that anyone else purchase this game. I've had several days now where I can't play the game because their servers are down or experiencing issues. I'd be more understanding if this just limited multiplayer but I can't even log in to do _anything_.

A decent end to a good series. The world building turns back toward the first game and much of the QoL improvements in Dark Souls 2 have been further improved. Would recommend!

Do you like games? Then you will like this one. If you don't like it, you obviously don't like games. It's ok at least you can still play cellphone games.
