If you enjoyed the first Psychonauts, you'll love this one. It's just as crazy, imaginative and whacky with some new powers, new places and new missions.

Bought then returned. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't fun either. Hunt, breed, gather, move to new island repeat. Unfortunately, there's just nothing to do. At least nothing I find captivating enough to continue.

I cannot recommend this game. No mouse support, are we living in 1990? The music is pretty bad. There's no real tutorial or a great help system. I didn't play a long time but I saw nothing even remotely close to the massive maps they show in the videos. If you want to feel like you are thrust back into the early age of personal computing, maybe, and I stress the maybe part, this game is for you.

I love this game. I have a hard time stopping when I have real life responsibilities to handle. It's a little rough around the edges as one might expect from an early access game still very much in development. If you can't handle quirks, bugs and glitches, you might want to wait just a bit longer for the next release. It's due to drop any day.

Game play is fun and can be fast or slow paced depending on how aggressive you want to be. If you like exploring, the world is endless. If you like logistics there are always a million things going on and it helps to be organized. It's easy to get side tracked with a new task when you are trying to work on another. If you like puzzles, try designing a new system to fabricate subcomponents and then assemble them into a final product. I am definitely addicted to all aspects and I’m excited to see what comes in future releases, not only in game play but also stability and performance increases.

I've read some posts about the dev being rude or whatever, I suppose he might come off that way to people who don't know how to provide actual useable feedback or can't put together a coherent thought. I, for one, laugh when I read the dumb stuff some of these people get so bent out of shape over. Oh, you don't understand what a ping is, how to troubleshoot latency, what a switch or router is? Well WTF dude? Why are you trying to run a server and then complaining when you don't understand the basic troubleshooting steps to resolve it? Experiencing performance problems? If you’ve got an old clunker of a system, don’t expect a smooth running game, especially one in early dev that’s not optimized for old junk.

Enough raving about how great this is and ranting about lamers who wanna be gamers. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes a challenge and can deal with a diamond in the rough.
