Man, I miss this game. It was so fun to just hop in for a few rounds every now and then, always a blast. I was actually surprised to see it be THIS dead. I gotta get some friends back into it, this was so good.

Hey devs, do something pls! Maybe run an ad campaign or relaunch it or something? I feel like this could pop off again with a few ads on popular social media (but maybe fix the super large descriptions on items that block the stats first)

This game has come so insanely far.
From a funny tech demo for car go smashie to a super detailed physics simulation with a huge modding community with awesome sound, graphics and levels.
And it's still being updated continuously.
These devs deserve every penny coming their way.
If you like car smash, racing, tuning, swapping out parts however you like, exploring environments and other crazy shenanigans(and whatever the modding community comes up with), get this game.

Update from the end of 2023: I stand by my words. Amaze.

This game sure has changed since I got it in 2016 or something.
The thing I personally miss are the more realistic flight physics, but the loot system is just bad now.
That combined with people knowing how to exploit certain weaknesses and annoying the HECK out of me basically killed the game for me. If you wanna build things and do basic stuff, go you.
The restrictions on weapon count and stuff are meh.

Looking at the system requirements made me realize why the game doesn't run the best on my PC.
The times I'm having playing it make more than up for it.
I've met so many amazing people that I'm very grateful for, especially during these times.
If you're looking for a wholesome time with strangers online all the while being able to decide what you look like,
this game?/simulator?/hangout place? is for you. Would recommend to anyone 12/11.

UPDATE:
I'd recommend taking regular breaks.
Many 18+ things happen unfortunately and you should be aware of that.
If that (and the random people who don't seem to know what the word "social" means) doesn't bother you, go out there and have a (mostly) good time!

Ahh, yes - the beautiful game that is Scrap Mechanic.
First of all, I just really like this game. It's lots of fun while tinkering around on your own or just doing stupid things with friends.
The devs are really trying to make the game better, with tiny bugfixes here and there and the occasional content being added.
Some things in the physics are still kind of funky, if you, f. e. have a very large building and blow up one side of it, it will not tip over, which is(I think) because of the physics engine. It basically doesn't render any "movement", because the building is so large and heavy that it moves too slow for the engine to detect.
Other than that, I really have no complaints about this game!
If you are interested in building anything that comes to mind, then this game is for you!
